Hits: BKT treatment....and not washing my hair in those few days really helped me realize that co-washing my hair was not the best thing for it. So I'm back to washing 1x a week....and I'm thinking of doing away with shampoo all together. The last time my stylist washed my hair there was alot of detangling going on.

Misses: aphogee tea leave in spray. Leaves my hair hard.

Continued Hit: Water as my moisturizer. Rinsing or dampening my hair everyday is amazing. I don't even need anything else.

Continued Hit: Castor oil. Because I can't not put it on my hair. Soft soft soft hair for days.

Continued Hit: Coconut oil for detangling on wet hair. Makes it so much easier and it lubricates and conditions all at once.

Continued Hit: Wigs as a protective style.

Hits- Yes to carrots mud conditoner:look: yes i found it and it is a good conditoner.

Mixing products- yes to carrots+jessicurl too shea- Great extramoisturizing combo for a co wash or quick dc.

aubrey's hsr+jessicurl wdt- Beautiful dc-hg status

aubrey hsr+yes to carrots- Good dc, but the combo above to me is better

I like these combinations alot and you only need a little of each half and half. Also helps stretch products longer.

Dream cream from sweet nature by eddie, very nice moisturizer leaves my hair soft.

Miss-Diluted dr bronners pepperment soap:perplexed:nono:. My hair was dry and mad.

Have you tried your Dr Bronners mixed w/condish? I use the tea tree mixed with AOHSR. OMGEEE. Wait, have we talked about this before? Anyhoo, mixing my castile w/condish leaves my hair squeaky clean, light, fluffy and moist with great curl definition. My hair literally feels weightless afterward, even with a WnG.

Hit-
Alba leave-in conditioner. Made my hair so soft and moisturized. Doesn't have a scent, so my hair still smells like my conditioner. My hair feels and smells scrumptious :D

I've been having my eye on Cera Repair for some time now. Which one are you using? Hydratherapie? How long have you been using it?

You know what, you must have read my mind. I saw that you did that in your co wash thread. I like to lurk there to see what product combinations you ladies are using:look:. I saw that you mentioned it and i was going to pm you on what ratio you used when you mixed them together. If you don't mind could you please share how you made it. This bottle of dr. b's is huge and i don't want to throw it away.

I buy the big bottles too, but I don't add the condish directly to my big bottle; I make my mix in a 4 oz bottle, usually enough for 2-3 uses @ a time. I don't measure :ohwell: but I put a few big squirts of AOHSR in the bottle and shake it up. I don't dilute the castile. When in the shower, I rub the mix into my scalp in four sections, let it sit for a few minutes, then rinse. I never poo the entire length of my hair, but as I'm rinsing, I make sure to run my fingers down the length. Since it's not diluted, it takes VERY little to lather and cleanse. HTH!! PM me if you have any other questions.

Hits:

Bronner Magic Shikakai Soap - Lavender: (Since I got this, I haven't washed my hair with anything else; for me it is clarifying and moisturizing at the same time)

Freeman Papaya and Coconut conditioner: (One of the best conditioners I have ever used at any price, absolutely a heavenly hair condish for only $3.59)

JFM Hair Milk straightening mist and 2in1 conditioning detangler spray: (I mixed the two in a spray bottle and use as a leave-in and it is as good as much more expensive ones I have bought -- soft, silky hair)

Thank you for posting this. I was wondering if anyone was using this or heard of it. I bought this about 2 weeks ago but haven't used it yet. It smells heavenly and it has some good ingredients. I'm assumming you're using this as a DC-right?

^ ^ ^ ^ ^ I used it after I did a protein DC. I always add stuff to my conditioners, but I did not add anything to the Freeman at all. It is thick. I put it in and took a nap because my hair felt a little hinky after the protein treatment and it left my hair feeling like silky butter. Those were the words that popped into my mind right after rinsing -- silky butter...

no i havent used it as a leave in. but i have decided to give it up to another pj who this is a staple for. i think the too shea was much better for my hair. i used the too shea as a leave in and it was great. as a co wash and deep conditioner it left my hair soft and defined so that is a keeper.

I really need to get on that too shea! Sometimes I need a little protein and this might do the trick.

Nothing but Hits here!

First there the European brand Folicure (poo & condish). What can I say but wonderful things about it. After one use my hair stop breaking. I couldn't even believe it!

Next is Baba De Caracol (poo & condish) its a Dominican Product. When I went home I was sure to stock up on some Dominican Products. When I was in the store I have heard 2 Spanish ladies talking about this one and they said it was really good and they notice a difference from the first use. They were right. My hair was blinging!

I got two more but I have not used them yet Crece Pelo (poo & condish) which I'm told translates into "make the hair grow" and Wheat Germ (condish only).

I will never use American products for my hair again! Its just that good!

HITS:

-Mizani Fulfyl Conditioner.. LOVE IT! This actually rivals my all time favorite conditioner, ORS Replenishing. ORS Replenishing is basically magic in a bottle for me. Only conditioner that could detangle my hair at 20-something weeks post. This Mizani Fulfyl did the SAME thing.

Tried it twice to make sure and it feels like butter when i rinsed it out and its SO easy to detangle and rollerset w/ my rattail comb. I should've bought more when it was on sale 50% off at JCPenney.

-Garnier Fructis Sleek & Shine Leave-in...To be so cheap, this stuff is good. It helps w/ detangling, smells good, easy to use as a leave-in for rollersetting.

MISS:

-Redken Smooth Down Butter Treat...SO GLAD i didnt pay for the full bottle and just bought the sample. Should've known it would be garbage cause i hated the Redken All soft condish..it felt the EXACT same as the all soft. Wouldnt penetrate, felt like i was putting wax on my hair, no slip, no pizazz.

-QB Heavy Cream....it was a hit but now i cant stand it...i havent used it in a while. Too heavy. Dont like the sticky feeling it leaves behind. Even when i just used a dab. Tried it on dry and wet hair. I need to sell this.

Yo, a lot of people don't like the Island Naturals conditioner, but I LOVE it! I always get nice curl definition when I use it to cowash and leave some in. It moisturizes quite nicely.

Herbal green tea butter- I love this stuff, its not too heavy for my hair and it dries soft and not greasy. The smell is wonderful to me, i can't put my finger on it but the smell is nice. I will definitley keep this in my rotation as im fazing other things out.

Amala cream rinse: Smells like orange cream, very light smell not overwhelming. It cleaned and softened my hair really nice. I was kind of hesitant because of no lather, but its all in the mind. This is a great product and will be replacing my shampoo. If i want to clarify ill just add a little poo to it and that would be all that i need. The rinse cleans that well for me.

Kbb hair milk: Love it, i have used the nectar before and this is way better to me. It contains avocado oil and my hair loves avocado. Its a really good leave in and a little is all you need. Yall already know about the smells:lick:
