I wear scarves a lot now...

on vaca, I'll wear a scarf, slide it back sligthly and leave my wet bun with some curls popping out in the back.

I just bought 2 pure silk scarves and rock a Jlo style with the big earrings.

I think there's a difference between the going-to-bed scarves and fashionable design scarves, you can tell the diff. However, I will say I have one scarf I usually wear for bed but on a couple of occasions I wore it to work and folks just LOVE it. So I guess it's in how you rock it AND in the quality of the material....

Quite a few people tend to think it's trifflin' to wear a scarf out but I like it :yep:

If I'm going through the drive thru, my scarf stays on.
If it's after 12am, it's staying on.

I rarely wear it before 12, but if I do...I really could care less what people think. Muslims do it...I can too! :yep:

I feel the reason I roll my hair and make it look pretty is for when I go out. I like to put my best foot forward when I go out. I have had conditioner on, covered it with a bag and scarf and then tucked it under a nice hat.

I will wear a headwrap in a heartbeat.

I love seeing older black women fresh from the salon with their hair still in tight roller sets...that always trips me out, reminds me of my grandma.

Me too. As a natural, I feel it's mandatory to cover my hair at times.

Oh heck NO, not ever. I think that coming out of the house in public with rollers and scarves and hair bonnets on is like going in public with my jammies on. It's just not proper or lady-like to me. Heavens knows this is one of my heavy pet peaves when I go out and see women with their hair this way. I might be feeling a little strong about this but Oh no, no, no, no, no.

ETA: Decorative and fashionable scarves are fine but not that stuff we sleep in.

It's no secret that KD can be bamma as all-get-out. I clean up rather well, though.

I'm trying to ween myself away from wearing rollers outside. It is not out of the ordinary to see rollers on ladies in my area on Saturdays while they are out running errands.

A few ladies have complimented me on my trusty purple paisley silk scarf while in rollers. I know I look like somebody's momma when I wear this out in public. But heck...I AM. I try to dress it up with earrings, and gloss or something. I never wanted to look completely tossed away.

I decided that I needed to give up rollers in public after famous people started popping up in the local Wal-Mart. I am known to bust up in there with clips showing from under my scarf.

I would never wear a bonnet out though.

See now to me, this is acceptable because it's well hidden and nobody knows but you. I have baggied under a wig before, but again, nobody knew this but me.
