Default Pics of My Underhand Cornrow

Okay..I'm not sure if you guys call it something else, but we call it an underhand cornrow where I'm from.

I wanted to switch up from my everyday bun. Since I've started cowashing 5 days out of the week (workout 5 days each week), I wanted to try something fast and easy that could serve as a great protective style. Anyway, I just braided it back and pinned my hair under.

Note-The reason that it's called an underhand cornrow is because the braid is on the inside -- the bumpy part is on the inside of the cornrow.

More pics in my fotki..

Very pretty. Where I'm from we call them "overbraids" since you catch the hair over, instead of under like with basic cornrows

NICE! That's the way I first learned to cornrow. It's how my mom used to cornrow my hair.

Thanks you guys! My mom did these all the time when I was younger too. I kinda hated it back then, but I think it's cute now.

Anyway, here are some tutorials. Thanks JustKiya. I've been searching for underhand braid tutorials and couldnt' find anything. I found alot of french braid tutorials though.

Yep, that's what we call them where I'm from.

It is lovely, and I'm always in awe of anyone who can braid like that!
