I try, but I don't often. I wear a combo of bonnets and scarves. They end up off by the morning though.

Also, I didn't grow up wearing anything on my head. My mom didn't wear head coverings either

I've worn something on my head at least for as long as I've been doing my own hair (aged 14) so now (31) it's become a habit. It's like I don't feel truly comfortable in bed at night unless I have my silk scarf on lol. I am trained now:lol::look:

I grew up wearing stocking caps. I started wearing satin scarves as a teenager and try to wear one every night, but it's usually off by morning :ohwell:. I sleep on a satin pillowcase as well so I feel a little less guilty on those nights where I'm too tired to bother getting my scarf :look:

I rotate sleeping on a satin or silk pillowcase....unless my hair is straight. If it's straight, I'll wrap it and sleep in a satin dome cap. I don't straighten often so that's pretty rare.

Only time i wrap my hair or cover it is if I just got it done. Otherwise I just go to bed as is. I know it's bad but im lazy.

I satin bonnet most of time and satin scarf when straight. I sleep in satin pillow case. Wearing something in my head at night has never been a problem doesn't stop any activities.

It completely depends on my hairstyle. If I'm in twists, then I use a satin, long pocket bonnet so that my twists don't strink up. If my hair is loose, then I sleep in two loose pigtails with a bonnet pushed far back like a snood, along with a satin pillowcase.

I did wear a bonnet but he put a satin pillowcase in my stocking this past christmas... Guess he was trying to tell me something. so now I just sleep on the pillowcase especially seeing that I currently have no hair :look:

I'm really bad at it but my goal this year is to wear my bonnet more often and to purchase a satin pillowcase.

I keep a satin pillow case on my bed but I also sleep in a bonnet. I have been doing this for so long it is a habit and I feel strange if I don't wear one. My husband is accustomed to me wearing my bonnet.

It depends on how my hair is for the night. If it's straightened I wear a satin scarf. If it's on a pony or bun I probably won't put anything on it. If it's braided for a braid out, in flexi rods, or Bantu knots I use a bonnet. Funnily enough so was looking over my shoulder while I was reading the original thread in et and was like" they're talking about bonnets? The last thing I'm worried at night is your bonnet. I want your hair to stay long bae! "

No, I wasn't raised to use scarves/bonnets and when I tried them during my HHJ, I felt stifled and annoyed. I prefer to use satin and silk pillowcases.

Yep, satin scarves and bonnets. There are currently 7 bonnets in my house, with all four occupants using one at bedtime (including my crazy husband). The other three are spares I keep hidden, because the other three occupants of my house constantly misplace theirs and try to steal mine. I also have both pillows on my bed covered with satin pillow cases as a back-up.

A satin scarf. Every night. If it comes off, I wake up and spread it out on the pillow.

I LOVE this HHJ!!

DH and I both cover our hair at night. I've been covering my hair for bed since I was a child. I use a satin/silk bonnet or satin/silk scarf depending on the hairstyle and he uses a loc soc - when he remembers. Lately he's been getting his hair braided since he nearly strangled me with his hair when it was loose.

I checked bonnet since I've been using one for the last 9 weeks (crochet braids). But I will be in a scarf for 1-2 weeks before my next set of crochet braids.

DH's hair is hip length.

I wear a scarf every night. Been married over 10 years and my hubby is Hispanic. Nope he doesn't complain about it and it doesn't affect his attraction to me at all! Actually my hair is tied up all day if I'm at home. And while in the car on the way somewhere it's tied up as well. LOL!

I wear a scarf and a bonnet. The scarf helps keep my edges laid down and the bonnet is a really nice satin that helps my hair retain more moisture overnight (and it's really long, so that's been helpful now that my hair is longer).

I tried a satin pillowcase once, but I couldn't get comfortable with it.

Nope. I am sure if my mother did I would have. I go to bed in a high, loose bun. Believe it or not I don't even need a pin. When I was natural I went to bed as-is. I have been purchasing silk pillowcases during the last few years. I don't like anything on my head.
