I don't feel that I've made GREAT progress. But any progress for me is well welcomed and appreciated.

ojemba, I don't know about you, but I definitely see progress. Your hair looks full and healthy.

brg240, Girl, I can't stop drooling over your lovely locks!

Skiggle, I'm loving the way you measure your progress! I can definitely see the length you've retained, and I definitely see APL. Great job!

Rossy2010, Great progress! I suffered quite a few setbacks myself, so you're definitely not alone.

NikkiQ, You have me over here cracking up with that camera!:lachen: On another note, you've made great progress since your BC. I can't wait to see the rest of the pix.

I need to post my pic as well. I'm not sure if I want to straighten a portion of my hair or just stretch it out. Either way, I will be back to post my pic in a bit.

ms.tatiana,
When I was weaving, I would wash and condition my hair every two weeks. I was moisturizing my hair w/ my megatek mix (I don't use megatek anymore) which include jojoba oil, olive oil and sulfur about twice a week. I would spray my braids w/ diluted knot today (I like it) about maybe 3x a week. Since wigging it right now, everything is the same except I dc after every wash and I don't use megatek. I do take vitamin shoppe ultimate women w/ iron and one garlic tab everyday.

June 2011 (I took this pic in May, but whatever. I doubt 1/2 inch would make that much of a difference)

What protective styles did I use?

These (mini twists...as mini as I could get them) They're worn down in this pic, but I always wore them with the ends tucked away when out of the house; otherwise, I kept them pulled up into a ponytail with a satin bonnet while in the house.

and crochet braids (which I will be putting in next week)

I search and destroy all the time - well, I used to because I was practically unemployed from January to May (I did a session in March and one last week). I know a lot of people don't understand why someone would spend a lot of time doing S & D's, but the whole process of looking for raggedy ends keeps me from ever wanting to flat iron my hair. It is a great deterrent!

I'll be straight up though, my hair remained the same length from January to March, I got ticked off and did a massive S & D. Next thing you know, I'm frickin' BSL :look:

I'm willing to please you ladies though, if you want me to take better June pictures I will. Just say the magic word  It won't be until Sunday though - that's when I take my mini twists I have in now down.

Forever in Bloom, your progress is amazing! All of your hard work has definitely paid off. And as far as I'm concerned, you don't have to post better pics. What you've posted is good enough for me.

But I won't say no to seeing more of those lovely locks.

ms.blue I didn't realize how much it had grown until I compared the pics. It's great getting a compliment from someone with such thick and gorgeous hair. I'm trying to get on your level.

Ms.Coco thank you so much for the support.

(WARNING: PICS ARE HUGE)

Okay...I may not have grown 5+inches during that time, but there is a back story to go along w/ this. Starting pic was here: Dec 31,2010

First week of March, I went to the stylist to get my hair done and she persuaded me to get my "ends" trimmed saying they were going to continue to break:rolleyes: what did I do? Yup I listed :nono: This is how it turned out then. Barely SL

Now today (well yesterday) this is where I am! Overall happy with my progress. It's much fuller and has grown a little bit. This time around, I'm gonna keep my hair tucked away.

comparisons

Thanks for looking and sorry for the story!!

Needed the story. I don't know about the ends before but it really looks nice and full and healthy now. And since she trimmed it back, it looks like you may have grown back around 4". Just my case. In any case, really good progress and your hair is looking very lush.

faithVA thanks, they didn't look too bad to me before but my hair grows in faster on one side so it's always going to be longer on the left. I guess she say that as uneven plus split. I do admit, it is pretty even and thicker now.

Thanks again

More updates? and coco I'm still waiting on yours

I wore buns for this challenge. I was hoping for BSL but I'm happy with what I got. I'll probably be BSL by the end of the summer, which makes me
