I transitioned for 6 months and I couldn't take it anymore!!! The breakage was clogging my drains and when I would look at my thin relaxed ends I was thinking to myself "What am I holding onto this thin hair for?" So I cowashed my hair Saturday night and went at it with my shears!

This was my hair 2 months into my transition. My ends were a MESS!!!

This is after my big chop. All I did was define the curls with a little gel and my denman brush! I'm still finding some relaxed ends that I may have missed during the cut

And this is after my friend put two strand twists thoughout my hair.

I LOVE MY HAIR! I should have cut it sooner!!!

And can anyone tell me what hair type my curls are?? I was told it was 4A/B but I don't really know...

CONGRATULATIONS! Your hair is pretty, sheeny and lush.

You don't look like a 4 anything. I think you're a 3B.

Congrats on your big chop. Your natural hair looks so much better than your relaxed! Very pretty :)

CONGRATULATIONS!!! I don't really pay attention to the typing system, I just love all curls and waves of all types and textures so I can't say. BEAUTIFUL HAIR!

Your hair is gorgeous, you should have never relaxed it, your hair looked more coarse with the relaxed, and you have to be in the 3s

Wow! Beautiful! What were you waiting for.

I have no idea. I never had short hair before but I was so tired of the breakage so I had to cut it.

Congrats on your big chop. Your natural hair looks so much better than your relaxed! Very pretty :)

I agree!

The funny thing is that I had my first relaxer in 2010!!! I wasn't taking care of it properly and my hair broke off from APL to SL. So no more relaxers for me! I prefer my hair in it's natural state. :yep:
