I love the look of micro-twists. But my hair literally starts to matte and dread after about 10 days to two weeks in microtwists. I can't justify putting them in if I can't keep them for long! Defeats the purpose.

I envy anyone that's able to wear them for like a month.

My last set was pretty small but I'm thinking I might go even smaller for my next set:scratchch its such a relief to just have wash and go hair...I'm taking down my mini twists right now and I'm sad to see this style go

OMG, that's exactly mine concern. The take down doesn't look like it'll be a good experience at all, but her hair looks good! I might have to try it with medium sized twists.

I love the way these look, but mine mat and dred as well after a while... and washing them tends to create knots in weird ways-- like part of it will come undone, and part of it will just be stuck :/ and it makes them look really old. I DID however buy a foam shampoo from tresemme that I quite like, so maybe when I muster up the patience I'll try these again..

Technically, I think the vids show Mini twists. I just learned this week, after doing twists on myself and watching these and other vids, that there is a distinction between mini and micro twists. Folks use the terms interchangeably but the size is different. Minis are really small and micros are teeny weeny small.

Innovativethinkin's twists are in between the mini and the micro size... i think.
