White Rain Tropical Coconut is the best CO washing con I've EVER used!

V05 Strawberries & Champagne (?) is a close second, but the WRTC is thicker and deposits more moisture into my hair.

girl, u really make me wanna buy this WEN. i was watching that infomercial the other morning and it just looked so yummy. all in one! the reviews; some people said it left their hair over moisturized or limp. then they said when u get down to last bit of WEN, the pump starts working. i would still shell out the $28 as opposed to the trial and error of cheapies. help me decide! cuz i want to purchase today. if not im just goin all ayurvedic and gettin a shikaiki bar and calling it a day, but i really want to stop having strawlike hair after wash days....

p.s. i'm 4a/b apl....

I'd have to say...hands down: Trader Joe's Nourish Spa Conditioner!!

It's great at leaving my hair soft, moisturized and is great detangler...I use it for co-washes, detangling, moisturising leave-in, base for my deep conditioning treatments!!

My hair is very dry and thirsty so if this conditioner works for me, it will work for anybody!!!

It has organic ingredients and only costs $2.49-16.9oz bottle

Ingredients: Purified water, organic rosemary oil, organic valencia orange citrus, organic mango, organic lemongrass, organic ginko biloba, organic echinacea, organic willow bark, organic sea kelp, organic chamomile flower, organic textured soy protein, organic lavender, organic grapefruit citrus, tocopherol (vitamin E), acetamide MEA, cetyl alcohol, ctric acid, methylparaben, propylparaben, botanical fragrance

It's the best silicone-free cheapie conditioner I have tried...I used to use Suave Tropical Coconut and VO5 but once I tried TJ's I could not go back!!!

Do the Herbal Essences conditioners have cones?

I'm asking b/c a lot of people love them but I have to avoid them b/c I do not use shampoo.....

yup, basically the whole line has cones.
creamy, smooth, delicious cones

i don't think you need to completely avoid them, though, just make sure that you use a clarifying conditioner when you feel your hair has a bit too much build up. :yup:

LOL @ "creamy, smooth, delicious cones"...Do you really htink that a clarifying co-wash would get rid of the cone buildup?

So if I add baking soda to my conditioner to clarify, I will not have cone buildup?

oops, typo: i meant to just type clarify, instead of clarifying conditioner. just baking soda + water should do the trick, since you're avoiding shampoo.

ooh, but that baking soda in your conditioner wouldn't be too bad of an idea.

you should only really be concerned about cones if you're slapping them all over your hair in a serum every day and not washing. i clarify 2x a month, and i use cones in my conditioners, and a serum filled with cones just about 3x a week to finish my hair before airdrying or rollersetting.

Well I have dry 4a/b hair, and it is very hard to over moisturize...WEN is very moisturizing but it has never over moisturized my hair.

Yeah, the pump does start to act kindof flaky when you get down to the end!

white rain tropical coconut!

i apply amla oil to dry hair for an hour or so, cowash with WRTC, then either deep condition with the pantene relaxed and natural mask or let it sit on my hair (w/a plastic cap on) until i'm done bathing and such in the shower. it's heavenly.

Suave, V05, Tresemme is what I use. Some of the Suave "flavors" have been discontinued, but there are others.
