To go to PJ annoymous every Saturday. Not just on every bandwagon that I see and to find what works and stick to it. I really need to work on k-i-s-s for real or I'm going to be so broke next year.

I'm just going to do what works for my hair. :yep: I'm going to stick with the basics, take care of my scalp, and make sure that I pamper it from time to time.

I'm going to stick to my reggie, work on growing back my bald spot from a recent setback, and try out the BKT.

My Resolution (Subject to change, though):

**Stretch relaxers more than 8-9 wks...I strongly believe that I can do this and I'm going to give it a go.
*Continue using MN-- Say what you will about it, but I'm curious about what it'll do for me long term
'Shop my stash'-- I really do have too much and continue to get more...I need to use up most of what I have.

I am going into 2010 with full WL hair.

I will do my 4th and last texlax touchup for 2009 on 12/18, followed by a trim. My KISS regimen, that got me to this point, will remain unchanged. I may experiment with some different styles that my longer length will allow me to do, but mostly, I'm sticking with what I'm doing now and enjoying my hair.

Why wait??

I don't know about others but there are still some goals I need to meet in 2009.

Continue transitioning.
Simplify my routine. It is seriously taking up too much of my time.
Purchase products only 2x/year unless I fully run out of something.

I want to have a regimen set that works for my hair.
I want healthy hair.
I want to be midway between apl and bsl.

oops...read the title wrong...to add to that my new years resolution is to have healthy hair and great rentention...to not manipulate it so much and have better management of my hair in its natural state.

My 2010 goals :

I will NOT stress over my hair!! I will not put myself under the stress of trying to make a goal by a certain date. I will exercise proper hair care maintenance and let my hair do its thang!! I'll reach BSL-MBL when I reach it.

I find myself obsessing over dates....and I'm constantly wondering, will I ever be BSL??? :wallbash::wallbash::wallbash:

Incorporate more protein into my reggie.
Keep up protective styling, co-washing, minimal direct heat.
Baby'ing my edges and ends.
Reducing breakage...and not stressing if I see 1 broken hair. :ohwell:

REALIZING I AM NOT MY HAIR!!!

HoneyA

Goal:Hip length stretched
Mine are fairly simple:
-To keep growing my hair long and healthy, doing whatever it takes
-To do-it-myself all the way including touch-ups. I do all my treatments so I'll try my own touch-ups now.

my resolution is to try to do my roller sets faster. today, it took me 50 minutes to set my hair. i am getting closer. :) 30 minutes to set would be ideal.

i'm also trying to cut back on my products. i am slowly but surely figuring out what works best for my hair. i do not need to be a product junkie...

i also need to get a regular exercise routine. even if i'm just lifting 5 -10 lb weights or doing yoga on the mat at home twice a week for 30 minutes. it must be done!!

mine is to just keep it simple. by then the only products i will be using are:

shea butter
coconut oil
black soap
honey hemp conditioner
kbb deep conditioner
giovanni direct
giovanni deeper moisture conditioner
AO GPB
coconut milk
avocados
honey
olive oil
water(duh lol)

i will no longer be purchasing a bunch of products off line. if i cant get it locally then i dont need it.
i wont be trimming anytime soon if at all and i will just let it grow and continue to get thicker.

Great thread!! Mine are to:

1. keep keeping it simple
2. keep using the stuff I have before buying more
3. keep my hair braided under wigs or in box braids/twist when not wearing wigs
4. give myself a "hair allowance" each month
5. do not use heat except for my nappiversary and in Nov./Dec.

I think that's about it.

1. Stay with ONE product line (in this case QB)
2. Continue to co-wash, moisturize and seal.
3. Keep up wig challenge until 5/1/2010.
4. Stop sweating over growth and maintain hair (scalp) health.
5. Stop buying extra stuff. Eggs, beer, TJ Nourish, and VO5 are cheap and they work.
6. Continue to exercise and eat healthy (seriously).
7. No more BANDWAGONS!
