Congratulations everyone on your growth!

So I took pictures throughout this time and I can watch my hair get longer and shorter over and over again. It's been really informative because I can see when I get growth spurts and I can see when I've done something recently that set me back. I had two noticeable setbacks during this challenge. One was when I washed my twists several times and they started to mat together and I had to do severe combing and a lot of hair broke off. The other was when I gave myself a trim a week or so ago. At least 1/2" in the back got gone then, probably more, and a little less everywhere else. But I still made it. Anyway, here are the pictures.

January 3.

Feb 1st (I think it grew a little)

Feb 27 (no apparent growth/retention)

March 7 (growth spurt)

Now March 26 (after trim)

So I did it! :yay: Now I'm going to join the regular APL challenge until the crown can get there.

Ok so here is my comparison pic. I feel like I didn't gain much length, but everyone around me seems to notice. :ohwell: The pics are from two different angles & poses, but I tried my best to make my line at my armpit so you can see. I do think I gained in thickness a bit and overall health, but would like to achieve FULL APL, and continue to inch my way to BSL. I will continue my Ayurvedic regi, but will add castor oil and a MN mixture to my regi for more thickness and growth. :yep::yep:

I'm pretty disappointed I really thought I would get more growth over this 3 months. Anyways here are my pics. My tail is touching the towel but I still got a little ways to go before I will claim armpit length. Maybe I'll get there by june. We'll see.

Thanks HairIAm and AlmondJoi.

Congratulations AlmondJoi, you made it! And Jazzy, you are too close, so I think you shouldn't be so disappointed. You'll be there in no time.

Happy growing!

i'll be posting some kind of picture on march 30
since that's the day i said i'd update.

i'm not sure it'll be a straight picture
because i did a test straighten just a few days ago
and i'm not sure i want to put heat on my hair so soon again

hmmm...i dunno...we'll see what i do.

I'm going to relax this weekend. I will post pictures then. I need all the help I can get! lol

Same here:yep:

I'll be back my hair is not behaving for the photo shoot:wallbash: but I'm almost there-especially if I bop back in here with wet pics:giggle:Otherwise, I'm shooting for July(end). Anyhoo, this will do for now...

Congrats to all who made it and keep on pushing to everyone who hasn't :yep:

Congratulation to all the ladies of this challenge :congrats: to those who don't achieve it yet, you'll get there soon, continue the good job :yep:

Congrats to the ladies that made it ! I will take another pic on the weekend and see if I had any growth recently. But my siggy was updated two weeks ago.

I did not make it. :nono: I'm a little sad but I am going to aim for the end of the year. I had so much new growth too! I am just not retaining my length! But you ladies did a great job. Very proud of you and you are my inspiration!

Congrats, Ladies! Once again, you all have me inspired (I love pics:grin:). Hopefuly this time next year, I will be able to report success with this challenge.

Hey Guys,

Here's a picture of my hair. As you can see, I definitely have atleast 4 months to wait before I will see APL :nono:

pictures sometime tomorrow (or later tonight possibly)
i am going to straighten

so right now, i'm doing a super deep conditioning.
it's been nearly 2 hours so far
and i plan to go a bit more before i rinse

although the stretch picture showed my hair at about APL
i dont think i really made it there.
but we'll see...even if i didnt make it...i know i'm closer
than i was when i started...

so YAY ME.

Right-on Runner!

APL is a huge hurdle :yep:

yeaaaaaaaaah...

well that was a mistake. ha.

i rinsed my DC out, detangled and everything
only to find that my mother's blowdryer isnt here.

now, my mother's blowdryer isnt the greatest
but it's better than mine

since my mother's blowdryer was gone
(my brother's friend is borrowing it)

i decided to just go ahead and use mine
WRONG MOVE!

sucked the moisture right out of my hair

so i slathered on more conditioner and oil
and i'm doing the process all over again

except...i'm going to just airdry
i think i'll try banding and then flat iron tomorrow.

mmmm...i want one of those CHI rockets.
i keep seeing them in harmon discount health and beauty.
