because I finally got my first phony ponie....( just wanted an eye catching title..hehe) I am so excited, it was a drawstring pony tail so cute.

since I've never worn one before, is it okay to wear everyday?

I want to use it as a protective style, but i know the combing, brushing and gel to get my hair into a pony tail isn't good.

So Do I need to wash or CO wash everyday to get the Gel out too?

Yeah I have like a 1/2 inch real ponytail...lol so it's takes a couple of strokes of the brush to get it right.

Also, I'm trying to stretch my relaxers to 8 weeks ( baby steps) but my roots are thick now. What can I do without much heat to control them. I was thinking about air drying and then blowdrying when's it all most dry. If I let it straight airdry it'll get stay puffy until I wash.

When I read the title of this thread I was like:

There are quite a few people here who do the "baggie method" using phony ponies. I'm sure they'll have plenty of advice to offer you.
