Thank you all once again for all of the wonderful advice. I have had my second retouch since joining this froum, and my hairdresser was shocked! After she rinsed the relaxer off, she said " Your hair has really grown!! ", then she chuckled a little and said " Dag, your hair has really grown a lot!!" I was so happy!! I told her I stayed away from heat! I have never really had a problem growing my hair, just keeping what I had! My ends are now even, and my hair is about 1 1/2 to 2 inches past my collarbone!!! Thank you all so much! I couldn't have done it without ya!!

Marla, that is awesome!!! I know you must feel like a million bucks. Now, I can't wait until next summer when I finally relax my hair again. I promised myself I would keep my hair in braids until them. Of course, I'll take them down to give my head a break, but I don't want to use heat or relax until then. I'm just so happy ot hear your success story.

That wonderful Marla,

You're lucky, my sylist was shocked then 2 minutes later, she started taking credit for the growth. I had not seen her in months (I was in braids).

Isn't it a wonderful feeling that all the love and attention that you have given to your hair has returned in long healthier hair?

My hair was approximately 1/2 inch past my shoulders before I joined this forum. I used a lot of heat out of ignorance. I did what I thought was right. Wash every two weeks, blowdry, then flat iron. My hair would stay about the same length because I was frying off the ends and straightening the new growth. Now I stictly air dry, wash every three days, use oils with conditioner, deep condition and all of the other great things I have learned here. If I had known this years ago, I would have waist length hair by now. But, it's never too late, and it seems I'm on the right track! So I will say once again THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH!!

Dag, y'all, you don't have to be OLD to say dag. I was born and raised in the 80's so I'm allowed to say it <img src="http://st1m.longhaircareforum.com/images/smilies/laugh.gif" alt="" />
