As more big sisters sign up, I will continue to match them up with newbies on the waiting list.

==============================================================================================

October 9th Updates: Please do not pair yourselves up for this challenge. It makes it more difficult for me and is not fair to the newbies who signed up before you and are still waiting on a big sister. Thanks!

The Rules of the Challenge:
The Challenge dates are: October 13th - January 13th (3 months)
There will be a revel thread, so pls try to take "before" and "after" pictures!!
*If either a Big Sister or a Newbie is not comfortable with who they were assigned to, pls PM me and let me know. I will try my best to accommodate everyone

This is a fun challenge and a great way to make friends on the board, so I hope everyone has fun!!

Please sign up with your:

LHCF Name: newflowers
Hair Type: 4b relaxed

Challenge Goal: *for the lil sisters*

my major goals are health and even length to, initially, total shoulder length, and the ground is the limit after that. I would like to learn to do a spiral set with flexirods and, very importantly, how to sleep with a scarf or cap that stays on at night.

p.s. May I please keep Tsmith as my big sis?

LHCF Name: Indigodiva..still a :newbie:

Hair Type: 3b, 3c, and 4a in the front...thanks to my parents and their very opposite textures! lol

Currently: I transitioned almost a year, last relaxer was maybe early Oct 06...I am officially back to the hair I had when I was little...the hair I was begging my mom to get a relaxer b/c I had the fuzzies in the front all the time. Didn't get the relaxer until I was 16...5 years later, I had enough! I mostly wear a bun (the one with the sock involved:yep:), sometimes I'll wash and go(scrunch) or do two strand cornrow twist...I also would like to wear my hair straight sometimes(flat ironed)..sometimes I entertain the thought of texlaxing to be straight, but also retain my texture...(while I was relaxed, my hair would remain curly during wash and go styles..then one day it just stopped curling the right way:sad:)..but I won't do it b/c I like my hair being chemical free, and I like not having to depend on anyone else to do it! I also like natural products (for hair and skin) but I'm open to whatever works best for my hair!

Challenges: Shedding...no matter what I do, when I comb I always have a little ball of hair...and sometimes, its not so little:rolleyes:
Moisture- this Georgia air is not friendly to this Louisiana native's hair..where is the humidity in the air?!!!!
:tantrum:

Goals: To make sure I take my vits everyday, drink req. amount of water to get to full APL, then BSL, then MBL...not going for waist length, though

I'd like a nice Big sis, has who has her healthy hair down pat, and doesn't mind helping out a newbie..I'll be good..promise!

tiffers

Whisper "bleep boop" to yourself when you're sad.
What are the qualifications to be a big sis? I'm kinda in the middle, I'm not a newbie, and I'm not a long time LHCF'er. But I do feel like I'm pretty knowledgeable when it comes to hair :)
