I'm a 4a/4b natural.

I wash my hair once a week in six sections. I boil water and then refrigerate it b/c I suspect I have hard water. When I have to clarify, I use V05 Kiwi Lime Squeeze Clarifying Shampoo. When I have to chelate (because I didn't have time to boil the water), I use Kenra's Clarifying Shampoo (the chelating formula). I don't clarify or chelate more than twice a month, if necessary. When I don't have to clarify or chelate, I use the Juicy Shampoo Bar from Karen's Body Beautiful.

After I shampoo, I use Roux Porosity Control. Then I use AO GPB + avocado oil & DC w/ heat for 15 mins. Then I rinse & apply KBB Deep Conditioner. Then I do a cold water rinse.

Then I apply a dab of Darcy's Botanicals Curl Detangling Milk to my hair, followed by a little of Opal Hue's Honey Love Pomade. Then I blowdry my hair on low/cool to stretch it for my twists.

I'm transitioning and I don't have favorite products because my hair is being retarded right now but here's my regimen:

Co-wash 1-2 times a week
Shampoo with CON green label twice a month to use it up
Shampoo with Organix Coconut Milk twice a month (when i dont use CON)
Condition with TRESemme Moisture Rich following every shampoo
Moisturize with diluted Vo5 and a whipped shea butter mix
1-4 braids, or bun or pony until next wash day
Protein treatment once a month or as needed
Detangle once a week

Chaosbutterfly

Transition Over
I'm a relaxed 4a/4b, and what I'm doing at the moment is:

Every few days (in sections):
1. Moisturize new growth with Care Free Curl.
2. Moisturize my ends with Qhemet Amla and Olive Heavy Cream.
3. Seal with Castor Oil, and bun.
I leave the bun alone until it's time to re-moisturize, which is when I take down my hair, section it, detangle it, and go through the whole moisture routine.

Every two weeks:
1. Separate hair into four sections, and braid.
2. Apply Aphogee 2 Minute Reconstructor for about 15 - 30 minutes.
3. Shampoo with Organix Tea Tree Mint Shampoo.
4. DC with Nexxus Humectress, for at least an hour. I do it overnight mostly though, because I've become way lazy with my hair. :nono:
5. Use Porosity Control.
6. Apply HE LTR Leave-In, Chi Silk Infusion, and a little bit of Castor Oil.
7. Rollerset.
8. Lightly press roots.

I'm 14 weeks post, and I'm going to keep on stretching until I feel like relaxing. I've been doing this routine since April, and I like it because it really cuts back on how much I have to manipulate my hair.
But once my hair is re-touched, I'm going to go back to not using heat and DCing at least once a week.

Deep condition overnight on friday with conditioner, yoghurt and some aphogee 2 min. Wrap my head with cling film.

Next morning I go under the dryer for 15 mins then Rinse and apply slippery conditioner to detangle in shower, detangle with denman in four sections.

Apply some kind of leave in or oil or whatever is on hand. I mainly wear a gelled pony.

During the week I shampoo on mon/wed/fri and wear a wash and go using ecostyler or make 2 plaits for a braid out the following morning.

I use slightly acidic water in a spray bottle to mist my hair in the morning and before bed.

Wash my hair twice a week.
  • First of those involves shampoo, condition, ACV rinse;
  • Second one involves DC on dry, shampoo, condition, ACV rinse.

No detangling or combing necessary (hair is in braids, which get redone one at a time as needed, usually while watching TV).

Baggy every night, or when wearing a wrap or hat.

That's all folks!

Styling varies a lot, but I'll try.

Wash day:
1. Detangle hair after oily overnight baggy and pre-poo. Plait hair in 4 sections.
2. Wash hair 1x weekly with very watered-down shampoo (cheap ole' Suave)
3. Protein treatment w/ Aphogee 2-min or Renpure Organics for 30 min (alternate each week) under plastic cap
3. DC with LeKair conditioner for 1 hour under plastic cap
4. Just began to add a final ACV rinse
5. Air-Dry in rollerset or ponytails to stretch hair (usually overnight) or proceed to style for certain styles.

Styling (mostly PS, lasting from 1 to 3 weeks)
1. Cornrows and wigs
2. Twists
3. Box braids
4. Cornrows
5. WNG's (occasionally)
6. Rollersets

Daily Maintenance
1. Spray every night with spray mix (infusium 23, hot six oil, water)
2. Seal with hot six oil
3. Baggy about twice a week overnight.
4. Wear satin bonnet to sleep.
5. Sometimes I co-wash or water-wash while once or twice throughout the week.

WELL........
I'm the itchy haired lady.... so my scalp treatment is attempting to
curb the flammable itching feeling

WHEN: ANYTIME I COWASH or WASH! RIGHT NOW THAT MEANS 1-2 TIMES DAILY

HOW: I eyeball maybe 1/2 bottle jojoba oil, 1/5 castor oil (trying to get rid it...think it increases the itch factor), the rest maybe vitamin E oil, squirts of peppermint oil, squirts of lavendar oil....and then fill it a tad bit more with jojoba & castor= shake well

^^^^ i measure nothing, my whole life has been winging it!!!:nono::nono:
looking for better recipes from you ladies

i can say....the dr. miracle oil still has my concoction beat....but i'm trying to fix that by tweeking with all natural ingredients

Vitamins: C, E, B-Complex, Fish Oils, Grape Seed Extract, GNC Ultra Nourish Hair, Multi-Vitamin
Wash: Pre-Poo w/ jojoba, grape seed and castor oil mix. Shampoo w/ nexxus. DC w/nexxus for at least an hour w/o heat(body heat is good enough for me). My leave ins are the bee mine hair milk and juicy spritz. i alternate with the aphogee. then roller set. every 6 or so i do the aphogee 2 step protein but im looking for a milder protein.
Daily: moisturize with bee mine hair milk and seal with my jojoba or grape seed oil. and at nights i use my bee mine growth serum.
Co wash weekly
and umm...i think thats it.

I'm a type 4B(+) who started texlaxing last year, so my hair is multiple textures (bottom bonelaxed) at all times.

I wash weekly with Esencia Hydrating Shampoo, then deep condition with heat with either Bonacure Repair Rescue or Time Restore treatments and olive oil. After sitting under a hooded dryer, I usually leave the treatment on my hair for at least a bit while I do chores or sometimes overnight, then rinse and detangle in the shower in the morning.

Every month or so I add Aphogee 2-minute Reconstructor to my wash routine in between shampoo and treatment. If my hair needs to be washed during the week or feels very dry, I rinse it and then apply olive oil, or cowash with Nexxus Humectress and then bun in the shower and tie a scarf on while I finish up. I have used Nexxus Emergencee 2x now. We won't talk about the first time. :lachen: The second time was great, I used it a week before my texlax and felt a noticeable difference in my hair.

I use the Aphogee Green Tea Restructurizer spray, Carol's Daughter Healthy Hair Butter, and coconut oil to moisturize during the week. On the rare occaision that I straighten I use CHI silk infusion as a heat protectant.

I Am So Blessed

I'm easy going.

All I do is co wash everyday, use leave-in and whatever styling product I have. I clarify once a week and use my shampoo bar in between that. I use henna or cassia once a month and dc once a month or more. I also detangle once a week, sometimes once every 2 to 4 weeks depending on when I feel like it.

I just recently took out my braids done on my own hair.
Washing: While in braids I would wash with Aphogee for Damaged Hair (in recovery); Roux Porosity Control; Aphogee 2 min Keratin Conditioner; then leave on Neutrogena Triple Moisture.

Daily: Spritz with spray bottle mixture of conditioner, water, glycerine, saa

I'm transitioning right now and I think I'm a 4-something w/ some 3c int eh back

current regimen

1-2x per week

Wash w/ my mis of TJ Nourish Spa shampoo & aloe vera gel
Condition and detangle, most likely w/ Nourish Spa conditioner, sometimes w/ something else (I have a lot of conditioners sitting around)
Moisturize
Seal

1x per week

Pre-poo w/ WGO/olive oil mix or hempseed oil
Shampoo w/ either Jason's Tea Tree shampoo or BWC Rosemary & Tea Tree shampoo
detangle w/ cheapie conditioner (normally v05)
DC
AVC rinse (I include some EOs like tea tree (always), eucalyptus, sage, etc)
moisturize
seal

My moisturizer is my water, AVJ, glycerine mix w/ peppermint oil
I seal w/ either Avocado, hempseed, or sweet almond butter

After I'm done with all that, I put it in 2 french braids and let it air dry

I have recently decided to start adding back some OCT and that step will be included after the shampoos.

My hair has been pretty happy the last few weeks with this regimen. My scalp is feeling good, my hair feels nice and soft, and it's manageable. I'm getting my staples down and keeping it simple so i can keep up w/ it.

The only thing I do to keep it up in between washes is spray my mix every morning and night and then I oil my edges w/ either emu or castor oil. I've started back wearing my wigs to work.

I don't particularly like the smell of either the poo or condish. It smells like acetone to me. But the shampoo has nice lather rand isn't very stripping. The conditioner isn't "all that" to me. I definitely won't be repurchasing the conditioner.
