What's in your spray bottle?

What\'s in your spray bottle?

I have a large spray bottle that sprays a fine mist. Right now it has distilled water in it. I've thought about adding jojoba oil and/or essential oils to the bottle. I've also thought of substituting the distilled water for rosewater or a different hydrosol.

I was wondering what the rest of us here on the board have in our spray bottles.

BTW---does anyone spray their hair with leave-in conditioner (as opposed to water) and then apply their oil/moisturizer?

I have a fabulous mixture of Jojoba, Almond, Avocado, and Apricot Kernel Oils.

I have a spray bottle with distilled water and Elucence but it doesn't spray as nicely as my plain water spray bottle. They're not really the same type of bottle so I'm not sure if I have too much Elucence or if its the bottle.

What is the ratio approximately?

I have several that i'm alternating

1) Distilled water & pure glycerine
(for softening my new growth)

2) Motions leave in, distilled water, avocado oil
(for the length hair and ends)

3) Distilled water & rosemary oil
(for my itchy scalp when needed)

Braid spray and distilled water

Vo5 conditioner and distilled water

(I like to keep my braids very moist!)

Infusium and distilled water

(I use this once a week as a leave in.)

Supergirl, your mix sounds interesting! I love those oils.

You don't have water in your spray bottle? Do you use this for the hair ends?
Do you have any recipe or do you just mix them in whatever portion you like?
Thanks! Sherynella

6-8 oz of water
1-2 tablespoons of glycerin
1 tablespoon of Elucence Moisture Bal. Conditioner

Any more glycerin than that makes MY hair feel icky. This has to be shaken before use, and sometimes every few spritzes because the heavier products tend to settle to the bottom. The result is wonderful! People comment on how curly and moist my hair looks and say that the curls look natural. Of course, they reach out and touch it too. lol I give the credit to keeping it moisturized, conditioned and just plain healthy.

NOTE: I've also made a tea with dried herbs that are supposed to be good for dry hair and used that in my spray bottle instead of plain water. I've added essential oils as well, but not too much. That was during the summer because I tend to wear it curly more then.

Hi Sherynella,

No, there's no water. I do mix the oil in equal parts--using my eyesight only. And, I use it on all of my hair. I think you'll like it if you try it.

Re: What\'s in your spray bottle?

Good question! I have no idea. Being a big product junkie, I hate wasting my money. So I have a mixture of everything I don't like, mixed with water and oil. Works great!

Re: What\'s in your spray bottle?

1. bottled water (when people come over and don't drink all of their water...i save it to put in my spray bottles!) I use this to wet my hair if I want to restyle it.

2. bottled water and proclaim 7 oil and lavendar eo

3. biolage leave-in treatment (i can saturate better from the spray bottle than their bottle)

4. i just made a new one of allways 911
