Tips for getting the edges to lay down during/after rollerset?

Well, I'm about a month post and the new growth is starting to come in . . . I'm actually excited about it and trying to try different things so that I can enjoy my *natural* hair before running back to get it relaxed. (I'm actually going to see how far I can stretch. Every summer I say I'm going to and then I never do . . . .) Anyways, one thing I love to do is rollersets, but sometimes the roots remain fuzzy. I'm wondering what tips, products, and/or techniques folks can recommend to help lay the edges down while my hair is in rollers?

Thanks!

When I used to roller set, I would apply a little gel on my edges, fold up a silk scarf, and wrap it around my head(edges) only. I would roller set as usual, sit under the dryer, and my edges would be skraight.

You don't have to use gel either, it could be any product, cream, etc. I know not everyone around these parts uses gel.

You can roll "up" on the edges and your roots will dry straighter. You can smooth or flat iron as well.

But that sock idea is genius, I may try that!
