i've been natural for 3.5 years. i transitioned 10 months. my hair was clearly thicker the summer after i chopped. after that, it's just gotten longer. i dont see much more thickness these days.

I have always had thick hair, length was my issue. I could never get past shoulder length.

I went from shoulder to BSL in 18 months.

Before I went natural, APL was the limit. I never had a problem with thickness either, except for when the relaxer broke off all my hair. Anyway, it probably took me about 2 years to go from natural SL to full BSL. I have fine strands with medium density.

Mine looks thick, but is really medium and dense. It went from 2 in.
past shoulder to 1st hook of BSL (where I am now) in 12 months.

From shoulder to APL it gained thickness, and from APL to BSL it
also gained thickness. I'll have to wait and see what happens from
BSL to MBL (bottom of the bra). I'm tall so my BSL, and MBL are
not the same.

I don't think my thickness is true thickness. I think it is just gaining
density.
