IS IT OKAY TO RELAX HAIR AFTER USING HENNA?

Hi -

I am having trouble finding answers to this specific question. I currently do not have a relaxer. I have had about 4 or 5 henna treatments with body art quality henna. Now i am thinking about relaxing but I worry about applying the relaxer over hair that has been henna'd.
Is it okay to relax hair after it has been treated with henna?

Since you used BAQ henna you should be fine. Just wait at least a week before doing it. You could also save hair from your comb and do some strand tests to see how your will react. When I was relaxed I always did henna treatments 1 week before my relaxers.

i used to do a relaxer 1st then henna on the same day... always baq henna... if in dubt wait a week or 2... is there a reason to rush???

You should be fine. Since henna doesn't contain any harsh lightening chemicals, it won't damage your hair.
