I've gone and bought in less than 24 hours

Black n Sassy Break free Nightime hair strengthening System
Elasta QP Mango Butter
Organics Olive & clove therapy
Fantasia IC Hair polisher daily conditioner & detangler
Fantasia IC Hair polisher styling foam
Elasta QP Recovery oil moisturiser
Elast QP fells like silk styling jel
Elasta QP DPR 11 Deep penetrating Moisturiser
Profectiv 60 second strengther

And on top of that this morning my sample from carolyn Gray arrived.

I swear the products on my hair chart are looking more like my monthly shopping list than anything else.

My name is Naomi and I am a product junkie. I knew it before but now I really know it /images/graemlins/nono.gif

Hi Naomi... My name is Crystal and I too am a PJ but I'm okay with my condition. I work hard and I deserve an indulgence.

Some people collect stamps, model cars, dolls, coins, baseball cards... so I look at my PJism as a hobby, investing in something that makes me happy.

When I starrt spending all my money on things that may hurt me like crack, porn or alcohol... then I'll be concerned. Buying hair products make me happy and i deserve happiness!

So this is how I justify the fact that Sally's ranks as my favorite store....

I'm a PJ and proud of it. I'd rather be a product junkie than a "junkie" stealing my mama's TV and things... so it's okay, you don't need help... you need MORE PRODUCTS!!!

So true /images/graemlins/smile.gif

Wooo Hooo /images/graemlins/clap.gif Now I don't feel so bad. I'm usually fine when I buy product after product but for some reason I'm like /images/graemlins/confused.gif I think because i can't try them all at once is because I'm peeved. Ok, LD. So you had a binge. Maybe you needed to hit rock bottom before you could truly recover from your addiction. Now you have to get back on the wagon and start over from day 1 again. Keep the faith, sista, and you'll be fine.

Seriously though, it's hard to go in a BS store and come out with only what you went in for. Don't feel bad.

Don't worry LondonDiva... I need help, too!! Like you, I get upset that I can't use all my products at once!! It just doesn't seem fair that you can use only ONE shampoo, ONE conditioner, ONE detangler, ONE moisturizer, etc. etc. at each wash!!! Man... I think I have enough products now to last me about three years without buying another thing. It's a darn shame... /images/graemlins/smile.gif Hopefully all this will pay off one day soon with some long, luxurious brastrap length hair!!!! /images/graemlins/laugh.gif /images/graemlins/laugh.gif

You might have a problem if you...

find yourself short on money to pay your bills because of pj binges.

find yourself borrowing money to pay for your pj binges.

are charging up so much money on credit cards from pj binges that you can't keep up with your monthly payments.

sell your personal possessions to pay for pj binges.

steal other folks' personal possessions to pay for pj binges.

sell yourself to pay for pj binges.

spend more on pj binges every month than you put away in your retirement account.

spend more on pj binges than you do on your own children.

take money out of the church building fund collection plate to pay for pj binges.

find yourself waking up on the floor in strange beauty supply stores and you can't remember how you got there or how long you've been there.

If none of these apply, you should be straight. /images/graemlins/smile.gif

My name is Carmen and I'm a PRODUCT JUNKIE /images/graemlins/grin.gif.

I was just complaining to my friend the other day after I came back from the BS. (why can't I go to the BS and spend $20 tops like nomal people?) she just laughter at me and said "stay off those hair boards and you will keep some money in yo pocket". I spended $50 dollars and my attentions was just to go in and get some more jeri juice /images/graemlins/blush.gif. I need to go into recover soon or I'll go into debt w/in the next month /images/graemlins/grin.gif

Naomi:

Sorry, I have no answers for you! I've decided to accept me for who I am; a bona fide PJ. Just this morning I made a promise to myself, I'm not buying another product. Until I read Allandra's post on Elucence Hair Products. My eyes got wide, a nervous twitch took over my body as I anticipated buying these products. So I said what the heck; I'm a hopeless PJ &amp; I need to come to terms with it.

So I can't wait to get paid &amp; order Elucence Products, purchase Hairobics Scalp Stimulator &amp; some other product for the scalp. I'm not through -- I've been visiting the Hair Recipe Board. Going to order EO's &amp; butters to make my own hair products. Also, placing an order for (I hope) a few vitamins. Yes...I'm going to spend my money proudly!

I agree w/Crystal. I have no vices other than spending money on hair care products. My hair has benefited tremendously from them. If I was make weekly visits to a hair salon, I'd be spending about the same amount of money or even more. Plus, I'd probably wouldn't have the hair I do have. I can't pay someone to destroy my hair when I can take care of it myself.

So...fellow PJ you're not alone. There's a method to our madness; healthy, beautiful, long-flowing tresses.

CC I have this in my hair right now. It's cheap and THICK, this put cholesterols to shame in terms of it's thickness and feels so moist. i can't wait to wash it out and see the results. I'm sorry I never picked this up sooner. I'm really surprised at myself for not trying the whole Elasta Range sooner as it goes. I'm secretly hoping it works better than the ORS hair Mayo cause this stuff is more affordable. I'll let you know chica /images/graemlins/smile.gif

Ld, girl you know I got the DPR-11 too. /images/graemlins/grin.gif I like this too. I can't say enough about Elasta, all their products have been a winner for me so far. /images/graemlins/wink.gif

Ok at Amigos they didn't have the Tropical Avocado (They ordered it for me though /images/graemlins/wink.gif) so I ended up getting the following:

2-Nacidit Avocado conditioner - @10.00ea
1-Alfil Rosemary Rinse @ 4.99 (has strong rosemary aroma)
1-Lafier Honey Almond Rinse @ 3.99
1-Apretadora Hair Fortifying Treatment @ 5.99 ( This one I know nothing about but I bought becuase of how the label reads.
<font color="blue"> "Intensive Capillar Treatment for fast result. It tights your hair deeply and prevents hair loss like no other formula it closes the capillar pores, stimulates new hair growth and fights dandruff regenerating damages hair."</font>

Hey, I'm not ashamed of being a PJ. I've accepted it and proudly buy products as I please. You shouldn't be either. The cost to maintain your image can be high, but we are all definitely worth it. Without any guilt I bought the Elasta QP Creme Shampoo, DRP-11, Mango Butter, H-Two Leave in conditioner and they detangled extremely well. I was really surprised. I also bought 2 btls. of Adore color and I felt as if I didn't really buy that much this week. But, I'm really liking these Elasta QP products, good reco.

Don't worry LD you've taken that big step admitting there is a problem, /images/graemlins/smile.gif I use 2-3 shampoo's when it's wash day I just mix them all together and slap them on my head, and I'm trying to use them up cause I used to buy anything that promised healthy/shiny hair. /images/graemlins/nono.gif I must have 4 diff shampoo's and 6 diff conditioners-but 1head. /images/graemlins/drunk.gif
I also just confessed my vitimin junkieism./images/graemlins/guiness.gif well what can you do./images/graemlins/ohwell.gif
What's worse is now from seeing your list I feel a relapse coming on-for more conditioner, when I have 2 balancing/moisterizing conditoners, 1 protein,1 algae, and a 5lb tub of choleserol. My PJ-ism has reached out to family members who I've made buy a 5 lb tub of cholesterol too. But I'm controlling it b/c I won't need conditioner until 2004.
