How long after washing can u relax?

how long after washing your hair can you relax? i washed my hair this morning after taking my braids out last night, my scalp has no irritations or anything. so how long should i wait to relax, and after relaxing how long should i wait before putting braids in again?

I would still wait 4 to 5 days to relax. I don't really have a sensitive scalp...nor do I scratch when I wash... but I find I burn faster if I wait 3 days or less. A couple of times I got away with 3 days, but I burned really quickly. I haven't worn braids so I don't know much about relaxing and braiding. Sorry.

I agree with what ThursdayGirl said. As far as how long you should wait before putting braids in again after your relaxer I think you should wait at least 4 weeks, not any sooner than that, that's what I've always been told.

After washing (i'm not sure about the braids) i think a minimum of 3 days in between is good. Many at home lye relaxers actually recommend 3 days in b/w on the packaging
