Here is mine
25"Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes?

This was posted in my dorm when I first got saved and was in the military. It allowed me to forgive a lot of people and not strangle others. Q
 
Psalm 91. When I was younger, I went through a period of time where I was having nightmares and couldnt sleep and this brought me comfort and peace and it let me sleep. My late aunt gave it to me.

Psalm 91
1 He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High
will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. [a]

2 I will say of the LORD, "He is my refuge and my fortress,
my God, in whom I trust."

3 Surely he will save you from the fowler's snare
and from the deadly pestilence.

4 He will cover you with his feathers,
and under his wings you will find refuge;
his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.

5 You will not fear the terror of night,
nor the arrow that flies by day,

I will read this when i feel the world is closing in on me, My mom and I would read this passage to my late grandmother when she was sick and in the hospital. She liked to hear it. miss her.

1The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?
2When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell.
3Though an host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident.

Reading all of these passages has been very uplifting...

I was thinking about the "iron sharpens iron" one for a while... And that is exactly what is happening with me as I visit this forum. For sure, I was becoming a little dull in the drawer. :) So I wanted to say thanks to all who contribute in this Christian Fellowship area... just taking time to reason together has been a blessing... :)

I can't remember exactly where but this is in the book of proverbs.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart
And lean not unto your own understanding
In all your way acknowledge him
And he shall direct your paths.

Wow, I had nightmares too when I was younger and my mother made me memorize this. It really was comforting.

I love this. Lamentations is a book in the Bible I have never really looked at. This was beautiful...
 
Here's mine:

When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, nor shall the flames scorch you. For I am the Lord your God.

Isaiah 43:2 and part of 3...New Kings James Version

This is marked in my Bible as one of the most comforting passages next to Psalms 91
 
Mine is Galatians 6:7,8 which more or less says

"Do not be mislead, God is not one to be mocked. For whatever a man is sowing this he will also reap. If he repas with a view to the flesh, he will reap corruption from the flesh, but he that sows with a view to the spirit will reap everlasting life from the spirit."

A lot of people do whatever and overlook this. They especially overlook the first part, "Do not be mislead." Just because you ain't get caught don't mean God is letting you off. You'll get yours.

This is my favorite scriputure as well! There are seasons when I don't know what's ahead of me in life or what to expect but this scripture always gives me reassurance of God's perfect Love.

Prov 3:4,5 - Trust in the Lord

Jer 29:11 - For I know the plans that I have for you

Matt 6:24-33 - Do worry about tomorrow

Lam 3: 24 - Great is your faithfulness

I just have to add one more:

That is one that I am in love with right now. I know there are plenty others but that is the one I can remember right now.
