Dec 5 through Dec 11 What Are Your Weekly Hair Plans?

On Sunday, I did the following:

Hot Oil Treatment with Mimi’s Curls Oil
Shampoo w/ Bask & Bloom Rhassoul Bar
Henna Treatment w/ Henna Sooq Red Raj & BelleBar Guacamole
DC w/ APB OMG
LI w/ Sirod Naturals

Blowdried my hair and wearing it in a bun. I’m going to be a straight-haired natural for the winter.

I temporarily changed my mind. These low temperatures in Southern VA are drying out my hair and scalp. I cowashed today with APB Manuka Honey DC, then styled my hair in WNG. I will rock this style until next wash day, whenever that is.

Yesterday, I did my first BKT with Goldwell.

wash: Goldwell Purify shampoo
Blow dry 80%
Apply treatment and blow dry and flat iron on 400 for 2 passes.
wash: Goldwell kerasilk shampoo
Condition: Goldwell kerasilk conditioner
Blow dry.

The process was long and tedious. I was determined to get no heat damage and preserve some curls. I’ll know better about the curls after a couple of washes.

My hair feels silky and wonderful. My hair blow dried like a press and I’m pretty sure I can air dry without tangles now. I might do another treatment in 4-6 months if I continue to like the results.

Earlier this morning...

Co-Wash/Detangling Agent: Garnier Fructis Sleek & Shine Fortifying Conditioner
Cleanse: Kinky-Curly Come Clean Shampoo
Light Protein Treatment: Eva NYC Therapy Session Hair Mask
Leave-In: OGX Pracaxi Oil Combing Cream
Styling Product: Design Essentials Almond & Avocado Curling Creme
Dry: Air-dry for a wash n go

This week, I broke down some three week old braids.
I am going to start Weaning off Wen. So, I am loving already Design Essentials Almond Sulphate free moisturizing shampoo, Patterns Heavy Conditioner that I used as a deep conditioner under my hot heads cap for 30 minutes.
I colored my hair prior to using Bigen Chocolate.

I blow dried my hair after deep conditioning and braided it into 5 cornrows going straight back so I can wig it.

In between the parts, I used my 10 in 1 Hair growth oil and I keep my wig cap on for convenience. :)

Please keep us posted about the Gold Well BKT. I have been considering getting another one myself and would love to know if this one is worth it and how it last.
