bt reaction help!!!!!!!!!!

I was so happy, to get my bottle in the mail( despite my best friend's experience with bt, black patch and scab on her neck) . i loved the feedback from other members on here. but after using the bt for a few days,

maybe a week. my face broke out REALLY bad. in which i had not had a problem with IN THE past months . ( i used urine on my face which caused no further breakouts, but coincidently when i used bt i was bumphell) but i said you know whaT? maybe my skin is just sensitive~~~ and i still want to use it!\

in hopes to achieve the results other's have had.

well i used bt for about 6 days, until i found my face feeling VERY warm. hot around the edges.
and breaking out even more. i thought about the sulfur in it, and said, i cant have an allergic reaction to sulfur because, i've used sulfer8 and oils with proportionate levels of sulfur in it.

I'm kind of pissed that it "worked" out for most others. but not me.
i usually always listen to my best friend when it comes to hair products, and i shunned her,, and now this:-(

i went to wash my hair from the bt. i ran my fingers through my hair. and it started coming out. i took a deep breath said it was "nothing" untill, a clump came out:-( i started to panick, but then told myself it was normal shedding. untill i did a light pull test on my hair, and eveytime i did my hair was coming out:-(

allergic reaction is the best defense for using this . but i have used procducts with sulfer in it, with no problems.

right now , i guess i'm just angry that my f-en hair is coming out, when it was NOT doIng so. before using this .

and hand clapS , cartwheels to who ever has no problem BUT I DO.

i screamed to my girlfriend in the next room. to come in THE BAThroom and "help' she saw me taking out little knots of hair. ( it was not huge knots)

but if i tugged even a little bit on a patch of hair it showed it's weakness. by coming out.

NOW. i guess in the end i'd like to just know. HOW CAN A REPAIR the damage that this product has done me?

my family told me to put a tsp of clarifying shampoo mixed with cool water. and wash with cool water. then deep con. untill i can get over there tommorrow for emergency treatment.

I'm so sorry this is happening to you. :perplexed

I honestly think BT has a higher proportion of sulfer in it than products like Sulfer 8 and Glovers...in turn that helps the hair grow faster (in most cases), bu tcan also lead to problems.

BT can be oily, so if you're using alot, that may be causing the facial acne...or it really could be an allergic reaction. But if that were the case, you'd probably have a rash of some sort on your scalp and neck, like your friend.

BT can also make your hair extremely dry...were you moisturizing before you applied it? If not, you were sealing out moisture, and that's definately not a good thing for your hair.

Wash the BT out, use a good moisturizing conditioner, deep condition overnight if you want( it won't hurt) and be very gentle with your hair for now.

Hope this helps.

You put urine on your face? I would send the maker of the product a pm maybe you can get your money refunded or something. l hope it gets better. Is your hair coming out as well as your face breaking out?

so wheter its an "allergic" reaction or not. advice on repairing my scalp would be great.

i thought i'd be asking this advice if i did color treatment or a relaxer.
but instead , its a product that i wanted badly. that has caused my weak breakage and break out, and finger combing through my hair of way more than usual shedding hair.

protein? my hair is not down my back and all long, but i still cherished the healthy state it was in before this unfortunate outcome reaction:-(

my hair is coming out. and i cant get rid of the "hot" sensation on my face.

Sweety I think you really need to go to a doctor. Doing a deep condition will not cure an allergic reaction. Deal with the burning sensation first by seeking medical attention, then deal with your hair.

Right now...take an benadryl for your facial reaction.

And stop using the product IMMEDIATELY. Don't use it again AT ALL.

If you haven't been moisturizing your hair, a protein treatment will only dry it out and make it more prone to falling out and breaking off.

Do a DC with moisture first, then if that doesn't help, a light protein treatment.

And an appointment with the doctor may be needed, if your face doesn't go back to normal within the next couple of hours after taking the medication.

ITA!!!!! :nono: I'm not trying to scare you, but something is not right if your face STILL has a warm sensation. Some people are just more sensitive to certain ingredients and you may be one of them. Better safe than sorry I say...

yes i did moisterize before sealing. i know the tricks of the trade mostly.
i did NOT use too much, i read the directions over and over "use sparingly" .
and yes i tried to wash it out, untill i was told to use a clarifier, to totally rid it of my scalp. so i washed again. and a deep con ( which i have the con on my hair now, with plastic cap for about an hour now). is it safe to use MANE'nTail OVERNIGHT.????

I DONT wanns loose more,

Dammit I want to try this product but every time I consider buying it, I read another really, really negative review like this. Patchy hair loss? Scabbing? Rashes? Whoever sells that product on this board better watch out because it is definitely a lawsuit waiting to happen! :perplexed

i felt as though i did not have to go to the doctor's because my family member had a black scab peeling on her neck, and once ridding the product that caused reaction, along with other measures, she healed.

i dont have ihealth nsurance right now.

just paranoid that this warm sensation is still hovering my head.:-(

i would not sue her, her product is great with a lot of people. just not me. or my friend, or a few others. i'm just really going through it with the results of using it. it could be an allergic reaction/ which would be the first for me with allergic reaction.

i just want my pores on my head to stop feeling loose and hairs coming out.

i will do the treatment tommorrow as well, with someone i trust, ( who cry's when i cry if something has gone wrong. which has not happened in about 8 years with my hair.)

than u for the tips. ( the MNT is still in my hair now, deep con-ing now)

Does anyone if this stuff went through any product testing before being sold to the public?

I was thinking this. But do hair and skin products need to go through testing before being sold to the public?

mesezi, get yourself some benadryl, or a similar medicine. Should be available at the grocery store. I'm sorry this is happening to you.

Yes it did, including by the inventor herself.

But as we all know, different people react differently to products.

I just want Mesezi to feel better.

Mesezi, I've never DC'ed overnight with Mane and Tail...even though it's a protein conditioner, I don't think it will hurt, but I'd use something more moisturizing. Maybe add a little oil to it?

What kind of testing did it go through? Does it have a warning on the label with signs and symptoms or sulphur allergies?

I am not a BT user, but I really don't think the inventor of the product would've purposely sold it knowing it would cause these issues. I really applaud you for not considering suing. Many times, when products are marketed, they may include some side effects known during the testing process, but there may be some later that were unbeknownst (sp?) to the creator.

Sorry you are experiencing this, but maybe you should try just being patient for hair growth to occur.

yes i know..it's not about hair growth, it's about my hair coming out.
and the person that i am, i will let it be summed up to bad reaction on my behalf . and discard any other bad experiences. because i see that it works for others.
right now i just hope to wake up, and this be over. while taking the tips to restore strength with the pores on my hair after this.

i wrote this out of freaking out from my hair "all of a sudden" easily coming out after usage of bt.

thank u for the advice on repairing.

Would someone be kind enough to tell me what BT is? I'd really appreciate it.

I guess I've been away from the site too long.

I understand you have no health insurance. Please PM me to help you find an allergy specialist in your area, though, who may be able to help you for a minimal cost, because this is an emergency.

I'm really sorry you're going through this. Other than a black neck and slight discoloring of jewlry, I haven't heard anything bad about BT. Well everyone is different. I hope you feel better.

BTW....are you selling the left overs? PM me if you are. :)

see 321..i told you to use pee pee!:lachen:

You are FUNNY!!:lachen:

OT: There's a huge energetic balance doing that, but I usually have the patient pee in a small glass vial, which they then seal and wash clean. We make a homeopathic remedy from the urine's digital signal, and voila! They get well from whatever was ailing them.

hey ladies, well, my scalp is better from an emergency stay a few days at my hair genius's house lol. my face still needs to recover from using bt. ( which it's like 80 percent better now with me starting back the pee pee face lol)

i would not tell people to NOT to use bt, because it really does WORK for many. just not me. ( and a few others that i know) mostly my skin hates it.

moving right along. ( thanks-a-bunch)

I'm glad that you are feeling better mesezi. If you are ever in the market for trying a new product, try using the "patch test" that is recommended with alot of chemicals (bleach, spot cleaner, some colognes, nair and such) apply the same method to using hair products, test a small section first like that of the nape area that way if you have a reaction to it it will be hidden and you will only have to treat a small area of hair for hair loss, breakage. You have been very strong throughout this whole ideal, a positive attitude is good for your overall health, and a healthy person is likely to heal faster then a person who is stressed out. So you are doing great!
