OK, here's my contribution:

29-Dec-12

22-Dec-13

At first I was super bummed until I looked at it and realized that my bra and shoulder blades aren't lined up the same as the 2012 pic. So I took another on my own to see it compared to the lines.:look:

Wow wow wow MzSwift. I adore it. Don't you have some pictures of you with an afro? Seems like I remember your wreath on the wall (not that I'm a stalker).

Peeing in my shower
This is my 2nd flat iron of the year, the first is in my siggy (June). I think that my hair did alright this year, bit I know that I have been majorly slacking lately. My goal for the new year is to trim more regularly.

I haven't been documenting my hair growth consistently and I want to change that so here are 2 pictures of Nala (my hair...lol) from the end of this year. The first one is my staple style: a chunky twist out and the second one is my hair after being flat ironed and trimmed. My stylist took apprx. 1 inch off and added some curls with the flat iron. When I pull it I'm between APL and BSL. Next year I'll be consistently hiding my hair because I'm getting serious about my weight loss. I'll alternate between Kinky Twists and sew-ins. I hope to reach waist length by mid 2015.

This year wasn't really too bad, or too good. I got to comfortable with my hair and was using heat without heat protectant:nono:. I failed to deep condition like I used to. Which for the past few months now, I went back to these practices and have seen improvements. I trimmed 4x this year to get rid of the breakage, and thin ends I was seeing. Overall, I'm happy with the growth, and lessons learned.

I straightened my hair twice this year and went from grazing bsl (attached) to grazing wsl (in my siggy). I lightly trimmed each time that I straightened. I hope to reach hl by this time next year. Also, I want to find new ways to stretch my hair without heat so that I can see the length more often. (Please excuse my cluttered bathroom)

I've only got a picture of my hair curly. I got some retention but not as much as I'd hoped. Next year I will make it to BSL for sure!

I am loving you all hair growth progress. I just joined the site so I do not have any comparison pictures but I do know that next year I will be on top of the game. Great pictures to everyone. My signature is my current hair length. Last year I cut a pretty good amount to get rid of my relaxed ends. I am now 100% natural.

I'm not sure whether hooded blow dryers count as applying heat. I have not flat ironed my hair all year. I get a relaxer every 8-10 weeks. A hooded dryer is only used when I get a relaxer or deep condition my hair. I get a trim every relaxer. I haven't done any special treatments this year. I am not sure what my current length is. I hope to reach MBL by the end of the 2014. The first pic is from Dec 2012 and the second pic is from today (air dried hair).

My progress this year:

View attachment 239689

1st pic is from January at SL after hair cut
2nd pic - April, past CBL
3rd pic - September, grazing APL

I've done a lot of trimming since September since I'm transitioning so my hair is a bit shorter than my April length now. Hoping to finish my transition and regain my length in 2014!

1st pic is February 2013, 2nd is yesterday 12/28/2013. I went from about shoulder/grazing APL to full BSL this year. Hope to make MBL by Spring and be grazing waist by December 2014.

Well I finally cut my hair even all around, I actually cleaned it up a bit more the week after this photo , but this gives you a rough draft. I am between shoulder length and apl now, I was apl. I am happy that the back of my hair has grown so fast from February with it only being two inches, I need to keep doing what I'm doing
