Default EEK! My braids are TOO TIGHT? How do I loosen them

I told her over and over not to make them soo tight. It didn't seem so bad last night, but this morning I have arched eyebrows and slanted eyes! How can I loosen them up before they pull my hair out!

You can wet them by going under the shower for a bit or sleep without a scarf so that the braids move around while you sleep.

Maybe a little oil on the scalp wouldn't hurt either.

A damp warm towel around the hair for 15 minutes. The steam will loosen the braids.

steam will definitely loosen them...get in a hot shower (as hot as you can handle) and just stay in there for about 10-15 minutes w/ your hair UNcovered

also, you can try putting them in a loose high ponytail while you take a hot, steamy shower.

That's awful! That's why I learned to braid my hair myself. It took practice, but it was well worth it. Not only do I save money, but I don't run the risk of having traction alopecia and losing my edges.
