Just *ONE* ponytail rollerset (pics)

Ok. So I have been meaning to post these forever and a day.

I started doing one ponytail rollersets!!! Yes. One ponytail. Six rollers. Sit under dryer. Dry straight hair.

No more spending countless time doing mohawks, or parting hair for several ponytails just to rollerset.

This method is for when I want to dry my hair under my Pibbs to get it straight w/o resorting to airdrying or mohawks. It is for basic drying. Do not expect salon results or doobie/rollerwrapped hair. Basic drying.

Thanks to Pocahontas who came up with the idea.

Dang y'all are quick. LOL

Thanks ladies. Try it! I can now wash twice a week AND rollerset twice a week without it taking forever and a day.

Beautiful, results. I think I'm going to do this on my daughters hair next time I do it.:yep:

It came out pretty nice, how did you get your hair to lay flat? My hair wont cooperate.

detangle in shower with conditioner. try to keep hair sleek while adding leavein stuff. finger smooth into ponytail. use a comb/paddlebrush to smooth over hair slightly (like 3 strokes) to get it straight. use hairnet to keep hair down as it dries under dryer.

it's looks really nice. i'll have to wait until my hair gets longer to try this though. how long do you have to stay under the dryer for it to fully dry?

for 70 minutes at about 55 degrees on Pibbs, I am about 90% dry.

then I either 1) wrap it and sit under there for another 15 to fully dry OR 2) part my hair in two (pollyanna style) and sit for 10 minutes.

either way, it takes me less time than doing mohawks and then sitting under the dryer

higher heat will dry it faster.

wow, your ponytail set came out nice! i may have to try this. i am also sick of spending 90 minutes on my roller set. i blow dried my hair out on the cool setting last night and didn't flat iron it. fast not not happy with the results. but did you find that the point where your had the pony tail was damp? or no?

I haven't done this for a while. When I do, I put in all my leave ins in the shower, comb my hair back and smooth the top with a medium fine tooth comb. put it in the ponytail holder. Then I get out of the shower and roll the ponytail with six rollers like you did - takes all of ten minutes. Then I tie down the front with a silk scarf to keep it flat and wrap a hairnet around the rollers. My hair is always still wet inside but next time I may take it down like you and go under the dryer for a few more minutes OR blow it out with my hot brush.

Yes but I go back under the dryer for a few more minutes to dry it out.
