again, i'll say this
i dont intend to try and say black women arent socially conscious and we're stupid etc etc
i just felt some kinda way reading that chlorella thread; look what jamaicalovely said about gastro problems!!! thats serious!
u can look at my album and see my hair so i would be more than willing to buy something to fix it
some days i get aggravated with it because im young dealing with the issue; if anyone is trolling, i hope you research things before you ingest it for 1 inch of hair a month
thats it

Now this I can agree with.

I understand your frustration..I too have had a bald spot right smack in the front of my head....and I wish the best for you and your health.

lmao... my lesson on this thread was hold back what i really want to say
you're taking my post way out of context
Hardly. I just don't take any of your posts, along with many others, seriously. Too many folks lately have been taking this hair board a little too seriously and I agree with EllePixie-- comparing people voluntarily taking chlorella is hardly even in the same stratosphere as the Tuskegee experiment.

I have to ask the question:nono::

How come hhhwhy....OP....did you imply......that we only care about our hair.....

When you see all the other 50 lehm forums about other topics??? I mean besides the fact that this is indeed a hair forum....but we talk about other things to. I just have to know why someone would come in here and say somethin to that effect??? I mean....we have lives too.

no big deal
some of the comments are funny as h*ll but i was kinda serious
i've done some crazy stuff trying to get my hair to grow
reading hair boards for hours, trying to mix things
mixing too much EO's and getting dizzy having to call an ambulance earlier this year (really)
staring at my hair everyday, coming here reading ya'll posts, watching videos on youtube; when i damaged my scalp i was a teenager and didnt know what the heck the glue was really doing

so, again i say, just watch what you recommend because alot of us are novices and be grateful 4 da hair u have

what is ebonics? lmao

I'm glad you cleared it up. I think most of us go through things and it's frustrating to have issues, I'm working through a few of them myself. All I can say is patience and research.

Sidenote: I feel you on the too many EO's, I damn near knocked myself out messing around with those. i will say, if something doesn't work the first time you try it, maybe you need to look at what you did and make some adjustments to see if it works w/ some tweaks

eisani, im not a conspiracy theorist, but lets look at history and capitalism. this whole "go natural" thing sparked right, and you dont think there are companies selling us stuff that can kill us? if 3 women in your family put a certain product in their hair and started having diarrhea, vomiting, blacking out, you would probably get a lawyer. yet, you have many women getting this same affect from chlorella, DE and we don't question them because they are labeled "natural products" "safe because its natural" what if they are just experimenting on people. thats why i said i thought of tuskegee. has nothing to do with race on my thoughts just history and capitalizing off of pharmaceuticals with no regard for human life

those essentials oils; its a scary thing right? i never thought about growth aides until i needed one so when i see women with beautiful heads of hair on here, i will say something like "all black women care about is their hair"
im looking at some of you like, is she crazy; look at her hair, what is she complaining about growth for, is that all they think about; why does the hair section get so many views but if i talk about the lies they're feeding us in school and church people will want to fight me and call me malcolmxina....

I'm sorry, all of this just rubbed me the wrong way. Not aimed directly at you OP because I don't know you, but you did help influence my feelings this evening #whylie.

I get so tired of pseudo-conscious, after reading a few articles I'm aware of the "struggle" and it is my job to inform the poor lost souls of my people, type of black people. I personally feel that as a black woman, one of my most beautiful physical attributes is my hair. SO WHAT?! Why does it have to mean that's all I care about? Why wouldn't I want to gain more information to enhance such a lovely feature? As with anything else in life, you sort the wheat from the chaff and use some f***** discretion with these product recommendations and practices!

Sorry...If its not that serious..Why did you post?

You don't know who might be in your hair situation & could use HELP!

Happy Hair Growing!

meaning my opinion on black women- if you know you're not detached from real issues then my opinion should not affect you at all
glad im a black female posting this and not a man- i guess ya'll would have done him worse right?
now the medical issues, of course thats serious

for anyone who's interested, i would like to go to the Dept of Education with as many folks as possible to deal with the lies they are teaching our children in public schools (we can talk about it in another thread) and imm serious about that

Because this is the hair forum. Long hair care forum, hair care tips and product review discussion. People here are interested in hair. There is a place for that other stuff. It will be gladly received in the off topic forum.

That's not the real issue tho, the real issue is you judged so many of us about being about our hair only. That is what YOU said. If you would have posted this in the first place. It would have been a different reaction....I'm thinking u know this

There will NEVER stop being threads on the board about this or that for health and hair growth , trust me it wont stop. and There will always be those of us that end up being the voice of reason for those that have been informed incorrectly. Or warning those jumping on band wagons. There will always be those that listen and those that don't. In the end the information will be there-you CAN count on that on this forum-it will come from someone-anything you did I bet you saw the other side of the coin and various warnings and posts. such as, I know ALL EO'S have warnings on possible mixing and/or concentrations

The thing is most ladies are responsible enough to give ALL information necessary. but can't take responsibility for those that don't listen

Those little drops are potent, lol. But what I realized is just that I need to be responsible w/ how I use them as so I won't have adverse reactions.

It's trial and error. You'll find your way. :yep:

If this is her idea of black women waking up, I'm going back to sleep...

you are asleep if you think i was trying to be negative and harmful with my post
notice, im not attacking anyone for what they think of me
why? everyone is entitled to an opinion though it be wrong or right

OP, I really feel your pain, I really do. all newbies must learn not to jump on all bandwagons and to use new products, supplements, and other things lightly. I do have a question for you. this sounds like you did Monistat and Chlorella out of desperation after you got the bald spot and those items did not 'give' you the bald spot. Is that correct? I'm only saying that since you said you never thought of growth aides until you needed one.

AND, Some of us DID grow our hair from NOTHING

Me included .....

OP I bet if you should overcome this hair situation, you would want to help others and also *gasp* take pride in your hair (what you have overcome and accomplished with it), thats what many of us do and have done for a LONG LONG time after major setbacks and lack of knowledge. when you overcome this would you just attack others both in the position of lack and then in abundance as well.? We are not attacking anyone, but many of us actually actively HELPING so many. putting in a whole lot of TIME and effort. you judged wrongly:nono:
