BUT WHO's USING CURLS PRODUCTS? (SHAMPOO & CONDITIONER)???
I wondering if the shampoo is very easy on the hair?

Oh wow.

I'm subscribed to her, and I love her vids, but she is kinda snapping on people lol.

I wonder how she goes through 1 bottle of KC Knot Today per week when she only washes once per week? That's a lot of conditioner to be used in one session.
 
She is my cousin Amethyst in 15 years... It's so crazy how much they look a lot! But anyway... I love her videos they are very informative, but she's a little too peppy for me... people with that much energy scare me haha.

I finally decided to order knot today after lurking on that site for 1.5yrs now
so skeptical after elucence did notta-ting for me:nono::nono:

She said the ecstasy condtioner is considered a mild protein because it has soy. This conditoner is a moisture conditoner, PERIOD, point blank. I had to stop watching right there. I almost put a comment on her page, but I might get e-jumped by her stans.

Soy is put in many conditioners because it helps the hair to retain moisture as does wheat protein. Trader Joes nourish spa has soy protein in it and I used it everytime I co-washed my hair ( a couple times a week) and my hair never got that hard feeling.

There are going to be many people who dont purchase this product because of her comment.

BTW this conditoner sucked for me. I tried it without heat and with. I tried it with honey and oils, Still crapola. I am almost done with it ( I add a TB to my DC to use it up) . I wont be repurchasing. I also tried the whipped cream when I was natural, it was too heavy and I did not re-use. I use the Curly Q Quenched Curls conditoner as a leave-in for myself and my daughter. It smells really nice as well.

The soy protein comment struck me as odd too. I think there's an article by Natural Haven or CurlyNiki on it. Anywho... Kimmay is starting her own product line! I'm so shocked! I'm sure that's not why she started bashing the natural scene months in advance. That couldn't be it! *exits thread quickly*

That bottle is fairly small. If you have alot of hair, boom its gone.

Not this video i n previous videos and comments she's been know to talk about hair care forums (she doesn't like ours :sad: lol) She has a whole video going on and on about it. :rolleyes:


ETA: I still think she feels an important niche. Just not my cup o' tea.

Did she say something in particular about this site. I watched a few and all I remember her saying is she is not a part of any hair forum. Which video was it, you can pm it to me if you would like.

I prefer scientific, clothes, and jewelry videos. The other ones I found out on my own when I started on my hair care journey back in 2008.

Also, doesn't all conditioner unless specified have some amount of protein? I thought to be considered at all it needed to be specified as such...

I use the clarifying shampoo of curls. I really like, it doesn't leave my hair feeling stripped. I also use the ecstasy conditioner, sometimes as a leave in, but usually diluted (a lot) with some purified water as a moisture spritz. It works better for me that way then as a dc or rinse.
 
Never tried the Curls line she mentions. I need to use up some of my stash before trying anything new - plus I'm hiding my hair for a while. I do however love the Giovanni Smooth As Silk line. I use them very often - shampoo & conditioner - and they work well for my 4a hair.

I have always wondered what STAN meant. Thx!
 
I bought a shampoo by Curls a long time ago, in the old bottles, but I've never used it. I might do it in a month when I wash my hair.

A line from her is quite unnecessary and for someone like me who does not appreciate her videos, unwanted.

Annyway, I love the coconut sublime conditioner, it makes my curls pop and hydrates them very well. I just ordered another bottle from curlmart. I am a bit reluctant to buy more products in the curls line because everything seems like it should work together and I don't like being chained to using a whole line all the time.
 
I've used both Curls and Kinky Curly lines and I like them both. I've used them well before I heard the reviews from her.
Did you know that Kimmay has over 23,000 subscribers? That's amazing.:spinning:
She must be doing or saying something that is resonating with so many people.

That is something to consider, IDK if I'd like that either. I sort of like diversity of products.

Also, why don't you appreciate her videos? I am trying to understand why Kimmay evokes such a love hate response from people.

Yeah, but it's 8oz. But hey, whatever works for her! lol, it ain't my hair or my pocket. But I just think that 8oz is a LOT of conditioner being used to detangle in ONE sitting, especially when the product has lots of slip anyway.
 
I've never used the Curls line. I don't agree with everything she says but she's doing her thing, I ain't mad at her.
