Glycerin could cause splits and breakage if used improperly.

Pokahontas...Great information. I live in a very humid climate esp in the Summer time and my hair simply hates glycerin. It's amazing, because while I was transitioning, I did fine with products with glycerin as leave ins...not any more. Others can use it w/o problems. Just goes to show...What works for some may not work for others. :)

Well I normally use glycerin on my wet hair after a DC, but it's mixed in with 6-7 other oils. I've never used it by itself for anything, so I guess I'm ok? But I will keep an eye out for glycerin in the products I use everyday.

I'm also a glycerin in summer and not in winter girl. I just find that my hair gets sticky and hard to deal with in the winter if it's a main ingredient. I don't bother checking dew points, but when it starts to get some humidity in the late spring, I'll bring it back out again. My hair stays twisted so I really care about how it effects a style, per se, but my hair lurves its glycerin in the summer :yep:.
