Using seamless combs or brushes that aren't ball tipped is a must as well. That and having your hair never loose and wet at the same time is very helpful.

I would be in if this gets started!

I find coconut oil applied to the hair for a few minutes helps to detangle.

Also minimal manipulation helps!

The biggest thing I think you might want to add is cowashing your hair in braids/plaits. This is the #1 thing that has almost eliminated any detangling issues I had (which werent many because of my low density). Sectioning the hair into 4 or 5 big sections and braiding them, then cowashing them, has really reduced my SSKs. Finger detangling also helps. You can use your hands/fingers to smooth down the shed hair.

So, I braid my hair, get in the shower and completely wet my hair. I coat each braid with conditioner, one at a time. After coating the braid, giving it a lot of slip, I unravel each braid and rub the conditioner through, then rebraid. As I am rebraiding, I am smoothing out the shedding so that by the time I get to the end of the braid, the shed hair slips out. I do this on each braid. Leave the conditioner in while I bathe, then rinse out with the braids still in. By doing this, I've noticed a drastic reduction in tangles, knots, and shed hair.

Just make a list of the challengers by adding peoples names (the ones who want to join) to your first post. If there are any rules, add them to your first post and state when the challenge ends. Anyone else has any tips? I would like to join as I am doing the above in order to reduce shedding.

Yay! Another challenge!
What helps for me are:
Coconut oil and pre-pooing!
Washing in braids.
Finger detangling any single strands knots and only using a wide-tooth comb.
Low manipulation: half-wigs, cornrows!:drunk:
Keep ends moisturised.

DLewis I want your ponytail :(

I may have to try FPS. The reviews on Sally are convincing. They see me way too often at my local Sally's...

Joining challenge and subscribing :)

I would like in as well, I remember only losing 5 hairs daily shedding and no breakage, and would love to get back to that status!
