wow, Temporary Relaxer!!!

Yesterday, I went to Walgreen's and I saw this: A temporary chemical hair straightener that washes out in 1 week, and there was another one that washes out in 3 months.

If that stuff REALLY works WITHOUT damaging the hair, that would be a major hair revolution. I could use it on my natural hair and be "relaxed" for a short time, then go back to my natural naps without having to chop or transition.

I am too chicken though to try it. I'll let others be guinea pigs.

Yep, it's getting mixed reviews, some good, some bad. Not surprising, considering it is the first generation of its kind.

I suspect in a couple of years, manufacturers will have probably re-worked the formulas to make it better. I bet in about 5 years, these products will be as "safe" and "dependable" as our current relaxers.

I wonder if it will be another "Rio Relaxer" story.

I immediately thought of the Rio Relaxer that the guy ate on the infomerical - that later had people's hair felling out in clumps.

I would not trust the company's pr - search the web for real life reviews esp. from black folks.

That is a buttload of ingredients. My Motions relaxer doesn't even have that many. Sounds like way too many chemicals to me.

My husband works on military jets & when I read out Ammonium Hydroxide, he commented that they use this to clean the planes & that this will burn the nasal passages!!!
