Will CONES make Dry Pre-Poos Ineffective?!

Ok.. I flat-ironed my hair last night and used a cone based heat protectant. I want to wash my hair and do a pre-poo on dry hair with Motions CPR. I'm just wondering if I'll be just wasting my time/product (ie. the cones in the serum will prevent the conditioner from penetrating).

Anyone know?

Good question. I am somewhat confused by cones. They are in so many good conditoners, and I am not sure if my hair likes them or not at this point. Do they actually block moisture from getting in... I hear Dimethecone is the one that is the least water soluable

I use a lot of cones and I pre-poo on dry hair. From my experience, the pre-poo is still effective. I pre-poo with conditioner or with oil.
