Re: When forming your curls, DO YOU: scrunch, shake, finger twirl, smooth, rake or ot

I just leave conditioner in my hair after co washing and put it up to dry.

No raking, twirling, or scrunching for me either.

While in the shower I smooth alot under running water. I step out of the shower and apply my product to soaking wet hair then I shake.

OMG! Tell me why I do the exact same thing! If I you to ever catch me doing a wash n go, you'd think I'd gone made . Do you cover your face when you switch your head/shoulders from side to side? I do this so that my hair doesn't hit me in the eye :lachen:
i do a whole acrobatic dance! lol

1st i smooth (but not very well cause i'm impatient) each curl (or groups of curls/i'm lazy)

then scrunch with my head upside down

i follow that with a quick tousle to separate

then re-scrunch the ends

THEN I FLIP MY HEAD AND HAIR UPRIGHT!!!

throw my hair over my should scrunch tousle and scrunch

SWITCH SHOULDERS and repeat

then i straighten my self up, and jangle my roots a bit.

LUCKILY!!!! all this is done under 2 min lmao  it sounds like a lot but its so fast and quick (like a ninja) i dont realize i do it until i try and show someone what i do

Re: When forming your curls, DO YOU: scrunch, shake, finger twirl, smooth, rake or ot

I just rinse the conditioner halfway out, add some olive oil, squeeze the excess + water out of my hair and let it air dry.

I don't rake, shake, twirl, smooth or scrunch :D

For my hair, it's important to just leave the curls alone.

Thanks!

Sidenote: The hair porn in your sig is the business! :yep:

Re: When forming your curls, DO YOU: scrunch, shake, finger twirl, smooth, rake or ot

I either shake vigorously under running water and then lightly scrunch or i rake through my hair like i'm finger detangling and smooth as I go. I dont use combs so I do the finger detangling anyways.. So it tends to be a combination of both. Finger detangle, shake, scrunch.

Re: When forming your curls, DO YOU: scrunch, shake, finger twirl, smooth, rake or ot

I put the "product" (deep conditioner, mostly) and use a paddle brush to define the curls...then, I kind of finger comb to separate the curls.

I apply a leave-in conditioner, comb my hair with a Denman, apply gel and then shake my head like a dog LOL After that I can't touch my curls or it'll get frizzy

I think that I need to try NOT touching it, because my hair, especially in the front can get very frizzy.

I think I'll try plopping this Summer... however last Summer after detangling in the shower I'd add leave-in and light hold gel then scrunch.

I've been trying to limit combing to in the shower and not touching so much once product is in. Also, I've kept my hair dripping wet and that cut down on some frizziness.

I plan to try plopping when it gets longer.
