Hey Ladies!

I thought this would be a fun and informative way of finding out about all the
Co-Wash brands that are out there. It seems like the beauty corps have finally got the memo and have jumped on the Co-Wash bandwagon. I just discovered that Cantu has a Co-Wash that is new to me! This got me wondering what other Co-Wash Brands are out there?

I ask you what is your favorite Co-Wash Brand? You may also include your favorite Cleanser.

My favorite Co-Wash in this moment is Pantene Pro-V truly Natural Co-Wash.
My favorite cleanser is Wen Ginger Pumpkin

I haven't tried a "HydroQuench" anything, yet. When I do, the cleanser will be the first thing on the list. Now what have you ladies tried that has been "marketed" as a Co-Wash and not a conditioner?

I guess As I am Naturally Coconut Cowash Conditioner is one I've tried that is 'marketed' specifically as a Cowash Conditioner.

I need to think of some others.

What's the difference? Cowash vs co-cleanse?

I think the difference is that a co-wash is when you use a conditioner to "wash" the hair. A co-cleanse, is a product specifically made to cleanse without sulfates, and it has conditioning properties.

Its just companies jumping on the bandwagon of something that we have been doing for years, by giving it a different name :giggle:

Lita, your list proves that there are a lot of products out there.
JudithO, You raise a good question "What is the difference between the Co-Wash product and the Cleanser?" I got out a couple of bottles to compare
ingredients and found that there are more similarities than differences.
For instance, I compared Cantu's new Co-Wash and Wen's Fig Cleanser. Both instruct that they do the same work. Cantu directs you to cleanse your scalp and your hair with their product. Same for Wen. Both have a ton of extracts.
I was really impressed with the ingredients of Cantu, condisdering that it is very inexpensive $4.97 for 10 ounces at Walmart.

When I co-wash with a conditioner that is marketed as a conditioner, I do not cleanse my scalp with it. Only my hair. I have read about and experienced build up on my scalp from rubbing conditioner into it. Cleansers remove build up and apparently so do these new Co-Washes.

I'm loving WEN 613 cleansing conditioner.

So far I also like Salon Grafix cleansing conditioner and As I Am Coconut Cowash.

Ren by Renpure cleansing conditioner is just okay to me.

What's the difference? Cowash vs co-cleanse?

To me, cowashing is washing my hair with conditioners. Co-Cleanse is washing my hair with products that have a combination of mild surfactants and conditioning agents. They can be used to remove some cones and heavy butters/oils/grease. Ouidad Curl CoWash ahs Sodium Lauroamphoacetate as its surfactant.
