I learned on this forum that oil wasn't a moisturizer, that they're only good for sealing. So I've been using Herbal Essence Hello Hydration conditioner as a leave in/instant moisturizer and my hair couldn't be happier!

my absolute favorite is redken all soft. it can be used as a regular conditioner, and also as a moisturizer on dry hair. i think it moisturizes a million times better than keracare / nexxus / herbal essences.

i used to use the Herbal Essences conditioners as moisturizers, but i've noticed that if you use too much, they can leave your hair hard. with all soft, no matter how much i use, it a) won't leave my hair crunchy / hard, and b) won't leave dry and crusty looking marks on my hair if i forget to smooth it all the way in.
