I want the baddest weave for the summer and I want all the weave masters to help me with weave selection and stylist possibly. I want long black haif to the waist and I want it to be soft like human hair. my hair is approaching armpit and its natural. I will relax it and get a weave. My questions are:

Can you use weave to grow your hair?
Is it damaging?
How can I make it look natural?
I want a middle part and thats how i will wear it for the summer.
I wore weave once but I didnt like it because my hair was sticking out under it and my hair wasnt straight enough so it didnt gel with the weave. I am in braids and I am tired of it. Any suggestion would be appreciated.

Yes you can use weave to grow your hair as long as you take care of your own hair underneath. I would suggest getting it sewn in. And using a braid spray or moisturizer on your cornrowed hair underneath. I usually wash and DC my weaves once every 1-2 weeks. Just make sure your hair isn't braided too tight and you should be good to go.

ETA: I just realized you said you want a center part. Make sure you get weave hair that blends as close as possible to your hair. And leave out as little as possible for blending around your part. Don't use a lot of heat on the hair left out bc then it might not grow as fast as the hair braided underneath due to manipulation. HTH...

I agree with everything Bmoreflyygirl said.

Just be sure to take care of your own hair and don't let the stylist braid your hair too tight or sew the weave in too tight. I lost hair once from the weave being sewn in too tight...the thread literally cut my hair in various places.

I would like to also suggest you look into a net weave. I had one for a few weeks and it kept my stylist from using too much of my hair to sew in the weave. Everything the ladies have said so far is the truth.........Happy weaving......

Just a suggestion, I love the Outre Premium brand of human hair if you're not looking to buy remi hair. It's full and thick and looks really natural once blended

ITA with the other ladies.

You want to find a great quality brand hair (better blending, less sheeding, less tangling)

I really like Extentions Plus, Wagmans has gotten good reviews too--but i haven't tried yet. Pricey--but you can use the hair over and over and it is really good quality.
