Man, Crisco is the TRUTH! I use the organic shortening from Spectrum and while it just mechanically pressed Palm Oil, it has completely changed my hair! Now, it is so soft and shiny without feeling greasy! And you get a big ole tub for like $5! Love it!

I use the Spectrum brand of shortening which is essentially organic, mechanically pressed Crisco. I use it as a sealer on the ends of my hair and when my hair is in a bun, on the top to smooth down any fly-aways or frizzies.
