Relaxing only one section of the head...

Is that a big no no? My hair is 3b/c around all of my head except a two inch section in the front. No matter what the rest of my hair is doing, that section is always doing its own thing. Sometimes it just sticks up in the air. It just looks kind of silly because its such a small section compared to the rest of my head.

Do you all think it would be a bad idea to relax that one section of my head for consistency?

i have the same problem! The front area of my head is a diffrent texture then the rest of my head. I want to only relax that part.

I've heard of spot relaxing but I'd be afraid for the garden variety stylist to do that to my hair.

I do this, I only relax my edges - I wear a weave and want it to blend better. Honestly, I'd advise against it. I look at the health of the rest of my hair compared to my edges and there's a difference. Looking at your photo's you hair is beautiful, I wouldn't chance messing it up. I'd probably experiment with diferent product on that part to try and make it match the rest better. Just my 2¢
