Questions about Henna/indigo and hair dying

Lets say your hair is dyed this color
I think its a light auburn brown

and you use a henna/indigo over the color

I want to dye my hair like the first pic. I think I would want to go back to black for a while without messing up my dye job. would this work? Is this too much for my hair?

Will the henna/indigo mess up the original dye after it fades/washes out?

Has anyone dyed their hair a light color and used henna/indigo after?

I have a question about the henna and hair dying. I want to achieve a honey brownish color or something similar to the below pic, not the red hue I keep hearing about...Is this possible?

If you do the henna/indigo only once--it MAY fade back to your original dye job color. Henna & indigo are both permanent, but usually need a "build-up" of color, i.e. doing it more than once. But even doing it once could permanently alter your hair color. It's a crap shoot. You might as well use a rinse like Miss Clairol Beautiful Collection or Jazzing to get a temporary black color. It will wash out after a few weeks.
