How you will achieve goal: Wiggin' it with cornrows underneath! Daily Moisturizing, Weekly Co-Washes

Exercise Goals
Current Weight:
140 (carrying 8 pounds of Holiday shenanigans on my body...shame on me)
Height: (for those looking for body buddies) 5'7
Goal Weight and/or Inches to lose: 130-135 (This has been my weight all of my adult life)
How will you achieve this goal?: Workout at least 3 days a week. I do at home videos, Just Dance and I run on the weekends.

Water Goals
Daily Intake Goal: 40 ounces a day (2.5 bottles of water)...baby steps

Nutrition Goals
What are your Nutrition Goals?: Eat Clean, Cut back on Sugar, Consume fewer Empty Calories
How will you achieve them?: I'm going to try to eat out less and cook more. My goal is to cook my way through my food pins on Pinterest.

My Additional Personal Goals
Take my multivitamin daily
Do yoga or meditate at least 3 times a week.

How you will achieve goal: I will follow a basic regimen of pre-poo, cowash or shampoo, henna gloss or protein, DC with steam, then LOC. Styles will be wigs or rollerset.

Exercise Goals
Current Weight: 184lbs
Height: 66”
Goal Weight and/or Inches to lose: 128lbs
How will you achieve this goal?:
-MWF: running in the morning; elliptical and strength training in the afternoon
-TThSa: yoga in the morning or evening, elliptical in the afternoon
-Use MyFitnessPal to track caloric intake.
-Incorporate small salads with lunch
-Minimize carbohydrates at dinner time
-ensure I have healthy snacks
-Minimize processed foods (they tend to have a lot of sodium)
-Consistently take my BP medication and multivitamins

Water Goals
Daily Intake Goal: 1 Gal (16 cups), this is very important to me. Black people tend to be more sensitive to salt than we would like to admit. I think it’s the reason why high BP is such an issue for us. It is of my opinion that we should drink more water than the average.

Nutrition Goals
What are your Nutrition Goals?: I want to eventually minimize my dependence on meat. I want meat to be an occasion instead of a norm.

How will you achieve them?: I have replaced most of our meat filled meals with portobello mushrooms, jackfruit, or seitan.

--Take vitamins and additional supplements

2018 goal length: FULL APL, longest layers MBL (at the least :smile:)
Relaxed, natural, texlaxed: Natural since May 2014.
How you will achieve goal:
  • I maintain an ends care routine.
  • I wear my hair stretched: (1) banded twists to a twist out, (2) twist out bun, (3) etc.
  • I stimulate my scalp via vigorous scalp massages (with an ayurvedic growth oil) every other day.
  • I keep my macronutrient and micronutrient levels on point for health and hair growth: I take a food-grade one-a-day, Slow Fe iron supplement, and a daily dose of collagen + hyaluronic acid powder in a mug of grape juice. I follow this eating plan (sample 3-week menu is here).
Exercise Goals
Current weight: 138.6 lbs
Height (for those looking for body buddies): 5 feet 2.5 inches
Goal weight and/or inches to lose: 15.6 lbs for a weight of 123.0 lbs
How will you achieve this goal?:
Water Goals
Daily intake goal: 64 ounces per day or more

Nutrition Goals
What are your nutrition goals?:
  • To keep my iron levels up.
  • To be consistent with my collagen intake.
  • To be consistent with a multivitamin.
  • To follow this eating plan (sample 3-week menu is here), which includes many of the foods that grow hair.
  • To trial Curls liquid vitamin, eventually.
  • To introduce a spirulina/chlorella tablet again, eventually, once I've mastered the intake of my other vitamins and supplements.
How will you achieve them?:
  • I use the meal plan I have developed.
  • I prep my water bottle, breakfast, snack #1, and lunch at night and pack them with me in the morning.
  • I take my iron pill, multivitamin, and collagen+hyaluronic acid mix at night to ensure they get taken (and not postponed or forgotten due to a hectic morning or something).

I'm pregnant and can't commit any weight/inches goals, but I'd like to still join the challenge and commit to the exercise and nutrition parts.

Post Pregnancy: I will enter a weight after baby's birth and see what I can lose by Christmas 2018

What are your Nutrition Goals?: To get more vitamins and minerals from what i eat by cleaning my diet

I’m too embarrassed to state my weight,so imma just lurk and be apart of the challenge in spirit. :look:
I was shame to put my weight out there too, but I'm using my embarrassment to motivate me to do something about this extra fluffiness I have gained.

I think you should join the challenge and for the "Current Weight" use the following smiley :nono2:. In the "Goal Weight" section, just put however much weight you plan to lose next year (ex., 43 lbs. lighter).

Just use a space holder weight like 140. And if you want to lose 20, make your ending weight 120. Losing 20 lbs is losing 20 lbs. No one has to know how much you weigh.

If you don't what to do that just put your weight loss goal.

I think joining us and being a real part of the challenge can be helpful.
