Bunning my hair

I finished class early today so I came home to spend the rest of the afternoon treating my hair before it's time to buckle down with these books this weekend. I shampood, conditioned, and spent what felt like forever finger combing and getting out the shed hair. Now I'm under the dryer with a conditioning cap on. It's nice since it's so dang cold outside I can finally warm up under this dryer.

Not sure what to do with my hair next. I didn't think it through.

I ended up curling my hair with the curl formers, miss Jessie's leave-in condish and my oil mix. After, I flat ironed the roots on 350° with ors olive oil heat protection serum.

My hair is so soft and light and fluffy. That's not necessarily a good thing though with all this dry air and static electricity. One second all the hair is stuck down to my scalp, the next it's standing straight up and the next all the hair is stuck together. The worst part is that it's so cold that I have no choice but to shuffle around the carpet with my socks on.

I'm currently doing a hot oil treatment with castor, EVOO and coconut oil. I have a shower cap and towel over my head. It's been about an hour and I'm going to shampoo then deep condition. Afterwards, I'm going to braid my hair then put my satin bonet on and call it a night. Tomorrow I will wear my wig.

I washed with Shea Moisture JBCO purification mask
Conditioned with AOHSR
then used Dark and Lovely 6 week reversion cream in normal (I had a sample)

Blow dry and the flat iron.

The reversion cream didn't work. Put my hair in a ponytail.

Oh well. My hair is healthy so that a good thing.

Prepoo with APB ayurvedic oil and jessicurl deep treatment
Cleanse with motions naturally straight finish cleanser
DC with joico treatment balm
Rollerset just with SSI coco cream leave in
Flat iron with dudleys cream press

That cleanser was just ok but the SSI and dudleys combo was awesome.

Washed with Trader Joes TTT
Conditioned with Darcy's pumpkin condish
Used curl junkie smoothing conditioner as a leave in
Sealed with tasti kiss whipped shea butter
...and for the first time in a really long time I just smoothed the front and put the rest of it up in a bun

I started my hair SO late. Smh.

Currently prepooing with SD Wheatgerm ButterCondish + Vatika oil.

Then I will Cleanse with J Monique Naturals Dead Sea Mud Mask, DC under steamer with the Irish & Cocoa DC, apply my APB LI, hair creme & hair oil then MAYBE install curlformers to stretch my hair.

skipped shampooing this week as my scalp felt clean, I may shampoo mid week.
DC'd damp hair with purification masque
still don't have a leave in
foam roller set overnight using a tiny bit of blue magic to seal my wet hair

veesweets please let me know how you like the perm press. I have been contemplating using one instead of a serum for my next flat iron on thanksgiving.
From what I saw of your hair, we have similar texture. How does the roller set compare to blow drying? I wanted to skip that as well. I'm looking for super straight hair with maximum softness, shine, without heat damage. Thanks.

Take my braids down, finger detangle, moisturize & rebraid.
My hair feels good so I will be skipping wash day. :yep:

ronie I threw away my blow dryer because of roller setting! I saw instantly after the first roller set that blow drying was not the best option for me. Roller setting before leaves my hair a lot softer and more moisturized. Much closer to salon results. I dont worry as much about heat damage because its one less direct heat step and since the hair is not so dry, I know it wont burn as easily. The difference is night and day.

I like the dudleys so far, this is my second time trying it. My roots are straighter than when I use a serum and its day 3 with only slight reversion on my ends from the rain. I usually only get 1 full day before its time to style it another way. I dont know if I feel like my hair is truly "protected" from the heat though. For strictly results, I think its wonderful but the jury is still out on actual heat protection

camellia oil "shampoo"
Henna gloss bar with a little coconut oil and Ayruveda powers mixed in from henna sooq. This is a great bar btw, the reviewed don't do it justice.
DC with AO camellia conditioner
Soy bean tea rinse

Will do a braid out for the week, likely to pin up hair most of this week.

Henna followed by Indigo, shampoo bar, deep condition, large twists with Bekura Palm Tapioca and a little QB Aethiopika butter.

Figured out my "allergy" to indigo was really just from buying poor quality powder.

Nice report... Thank you.
Do you airdry your roller set or do you sit under a dryer? Please tag me if you review the pressing cream after you ve washed your hair.

Washed my hair and DC'd with JOICO moisture recovery balm. My hair is drying in large braids. I'll twist my hair tomorrow.

Sunday morning:

I Pre-pood with SM Purificication Mask with a plastic cap...

Moday afternoon :look:

I co-washed out the SMPM and I DC'd with Queen Helene Cholesterol, with HOT CAP for twenty minutes. I will eventually rinse, use Aphogee Curlific and CON Argan Leave ins and moisturize with ORS Olive Oil Moisturizer or SM Yucca and Aloe Growth Thickening Milk, then pony/band.
