Her hair reminds me of my cousins hair when she was little. Now she straightens it bone straight and it seems so boring. I am going to send her this to remind her how awesome her natural hair was.

She does have some beautiful hair but I see why it's not many responses. I think everyone tends to gravitate towards hair similar to their own in texture and if it's something we can do if that makes sense. Now if you want to see a beautiful head of heat less waves/curls etc check out LaurenMechelle. She has some gorgeous drop dead hair and even though she is relaxed she is very creative with the her hair. If I remember correctly don't you just as well have a beautiful head of hair ma'am? I'm sure you have some hair porn to share. That's probably a whole nother thread though.

I don't think you can get a an accurate sense of her true texture from the video(s), at least the two that I watched. Her hair is really long, which might be stretching out the curls a lot, but I thought I caught a glimpse of some tell-tale matting at the ends that is not at all typical of the looser textures that are probably being ascribed to her.

I don't think you can get a an accurate sense of her true texture from the video(s), at least the two that I watched. Her hair is really long, which might be stretching out the curls a lot, but I thought I caught a glimpse of some tell-tale matting at the ends that is not at all typical of the looser textures that are probably being ascribed to her.

Yea what we see isn't her true texture. She sets her hair in braids so it's a braid out. She has a video on it. I'm going to try her method.
Sorry you had to trim but it will grow back fast. What length were you when you trimmed?

When I posted about her before, someone actually said something like while her hair is pretty, they couldn't relate to her because they had very different texture. Meh - I look at videos of ladies with all hairtypes so I didn't get her comment.

Same here. I've heard that a ton around here. I am subscribed to and admire the vids of so many hair types from type 2 to 4 and I've gotten so much knowledge from all of them.

I don't think it's people not liking URBABOG's hair... it's just that most ladies here may not be able to relate to or identify with her hair. Her hair is super long, thick, and type 2 while most women here have type 3 and/or 4 hair that has a great amount of shrinkage.
I too have seen her bun tutorial video and thought the styles were nice, but when I tried them on my hair, it did not look as nice as far as the smoothness and volume. My buns look puny compared to hers, mainly because of length and thickness.

her hair definitely isnt like mine, but i still enjoy watching videos of different types/looks of hair...if i think it looks interesting, i will watch it. ive been natural for 8 years now and i still watch relaxed hair videos because i think some of those ladies have really beautiful hair and do lovely styles. i guess when i watch videos, it isnt ALWAYS for tips about my own hair...its just for fun some of the time
