You have a nice length considering you just did the big chop!! I've never heard of thread twists, what's the main benefit of that style? Do your twists last longer? Anyway, congrats on your big chop! Also your dd is soo cute!

You hair looks great with the 'semi afro', was that before the BC?

I like the thread twists too, they must have taken you ages to do!

Thanks Jasmine26,
The benefits of the style are:
It serves as a protective style.
It helps the hair grow faster like braids without the weight of extensions which tend to pull hair strands out.
It is done without the use of twisting products (I can't stand gel in my hair).
It provides excellent twist outs
It could be easily done by yourself thus it is cheaper and saves time.
It also straightens the hair so you wouldn't need a blow dry.

Thanks PerfectDoak!
The semi afro was in Febuary 06 b/4 the BC. The thread twists took about 3 hours!

Beautiful hair...I want to hear more about those thread twists!! :) Why are they called that?
Thanks caltron,
They are called thread twists because you use threads to twist around your hair to create the style. Read my post about the benefits of the style.
