natural hair that is straight question

I've been natural for 10 months now. I decided to have my hair straighten for an upcoming party. My hair was blow dried and then hot combed and then curled. The problem/question is my curls are very soft like, if you run a comb through the hair the hair looses shapes, where as when I was permed I could curl it and that curl would last for serveral days. With my hair being in it's natural state for 10 months does the hair need to be trained to hold curls again?

That is quite possibly true, but I invested in a Caruso steam curler and my curls last for at least two days, longer if I roll at night. Other than that, try a setting lotion (but only a little bit so your hair won't poof up. Good Luck

Mmm. Good question. Too much product maybe? Try pin curling.... How long is ur hair? Hair type? Products used?
