My puff, banana clip chunky twist out PICS

Puff: This was a pre-wash day puff pic taken last weekend. I've been DC'ing every Sunday with any DC (Nexxus Humectress on 8/10) I try and my steamer.

This wash and DC: I used Joico to clarify (again after using it 8/10) to remove the chlorine water in my hair (mid-week wash). I DC'ed with Nexxus Humectress on the left side and CrecePelo on the right side. Can't tell which works best but Nexxus gave me more slip probably because of the Dimethicone. I'm trying to use up the Humectress since I've had it for over 3 years and want to avoid cones as much as I can. That's the only reason I used half and half. I followed the L.O.C. method and used the water that was already on the hair after the wash, applied coconut oil followed by Camille Rose moisturizing cream purchased at Target.

Styling: Next morning when the hair was semi dry, I used two banana clips to create this 'fall' look. One clip for the first top half and the other on the bottom half. The front was just out. This crazy stylist chopped off at least 5-6 inches off in the front (my slowest growing section) so my bangs aren't long anymore.

The other pic with the hippi towel in the background was Sunday 8/17 twists that I just pinned up in any crazy formation for the week. ended up with some mass on the side of my head. I don't do small twists anymore unless I plan to leave it in for at least 3 weeks. (see pic from July below) People thought they were locs they were so fuzzy. Took my hours to take down. I don't have the same patience I used to have when I first started taking care of my hair in 2006-2007.

My strict rules:
No heat
Blow dry maybe 2/year for trims DC every week
Protect my tresses with my life (or protective styles lol)
**New**: Steam DC only for min of 40 mins max 1 hour.
No growth oils (although I have a couple of bottles to use up)
No vits No ayurvedic

I don't self trim much but I search and destroy even Single Strand Knots (SSKs). If I follow these simple steps, my hair is fine. Everything else (you know bandwagons) doesn't contribute THAT much more to my retention. So that is all that I do...

Haven't been hanging with ya'll much over here....I miss you guys! *I'm back baby* in my George voice (Seinfeld).

I grew out my heat damage by trimming as I went along so I was never APL even when I first started my journey in 2006 and even when I was relaxed in college. I never big chopped. Sorry I can't be more helpful :(
