Ladies Beware

Please be careful where you purchase your hair products. I was browsing on www.curlmart.com when I noticed some of Jane Carter Solution and Qhemet products have parabens in them.

Both brands advertise not to have parabens in them. Which leads me to believe that curlmart may be carrying knockoffs and not notice.

Now some products I have such as my conditoners/rinses have parabens in them but....since I'm spending the extra dollars for moisturizers and styling products NOT to have them....I want what I pay for. HTH

At first QB had parabens and then they said they would not make it with the parabens but with a food grade whatever that means paraben, But I use them and they work fine for me, But it is best to be on the safe side!

Thanks!

Oh I didn't know about Qhemet having parabens before. So this food grade stuff is still parabens? Oh well I gave up on staying away from all things bad in hair products....it's very hard to do.... But I will stay away from mineral oil.

maybe curlmarts ingredients lists are outdated. qhemet posted on another website that she removed the parabens from all of her products except the gel. maybe you could write curlmart to find out how up to date their database is especially since they still list products that she doesn't even carry anymore.

Nita, which product are you looking at, on my olive cream label it says paraben free and formaldehyde free preservative. curlmart's information is most likely wrong.

That's what I'm thinking.

I think they site must have some outdated listings there. Because only one product QB makes has parabens. All the others have a food (edible) grade preservative in it.

The Heavy Cream does not have parabens! But the Honeybush hair gel does! My container from curlmart is an old one, I just went and looked at it and on the QB website, all is paraben free except the gel.
