Hey ladies

I didn't know Keracare had a mask. If you have used it, what are the pros and cons, how does t compare to the 5 In 1 Reconstructor?

Thanks ladies x

When I was relaxed, my stylist would use the 5-in-1 on my hair after a relaxer. That was the only protein treatment I used between relaxers. I didn't know of women using protein regularly until I came on here. Obviously my hair didn't need a lot because it was the healthiest back then. Anyhoo, I couldn't find an intensive restorative mask on Avlon's website, only what's called a Super Reconstructor:
http://www.avlon.com/super.html & here's the link to the 5-in-1 if you want to compare the two: http://www.avlon.com/5in1.html.

Also, the president/head researcher (Dr. Syed, I think his name is) has a blog & is very helpful when it comes to answering questions about their products. HTH...

I have only used the KeraCare before. I got it from Payne's beauty online. It was okay. The first time I used it my head shed like crazy and I was not amused. The next time I used it did an okay job. I like that it had a lot of slip so I might revisit.

I have it. You have to following the directions and use it sparingly, if you use too much it can cause the hair to be a little hard. I've had good results with it, but it's sort of hit and miss. Sometimes it does really well, others not so much (maybe at those times my hair doesn't really need the protein). I'm not sure the reason.
