I Got Baptized On Sunday

I got Baptized on Sunday at my Christian Church. I am very excited about publicly declaring my love for Jesus as my Saviour and creating an intimate relationship with God. Reading my bible more, attending bible study and getting involved with my church.

I am grateful for this forum and the ladies that contribute dialogue to help me along the way.

Congratulations! How beautiful!

Remember: God is big enough to handle your every emotion! Just look at how bold/authentic/truthful David was with God in the Psalms.

And I wanted to share: Everyone is unique, but I found that frequently reading the following books of the bible really helped my walk.

Psalms
Proverbs
John
Romans
Galatians
Ephesians
Philippians
Hebrews
Genesis
Matthew

It also helps me to hold onto these scriptures, among others:

Welcome to the body of Christ!!
You have a journey ahead of you. Study for yourself to understand and to deepen your relationship with Him.

I couldn't agree more. @Sweetg, as a bible teacher, I tell all of my students to open the Word and read it for yourself. Don't take my word or your pastor's word for it--open it up and read it for yourself. Even if you don't understand what you are reading, keep reading anyway. When you do this, you give the Holy Spirit something to work with and He will give you understanding and recall at the exact moment you need it.
