ok so i finally texlaxed and i LOVE it! i cant believe how much dang hair i had from that small fro! my stylist asked me where all that hair came from lol. I am transitioning back to natural but this time im going to do it the right way and when i'm ready. I will transition for 1.5-2 years and heat train my natural hair as i go. I dont feel comfortable heat training my own hair so i wanted to wait until i got a steady job and did some serious research to find a reputable salon in Minneapolis. I should have never chopped my hair off, i dont do well with short hair. I would have heat trained the hair i already have but i wanted length and to get out any last hairstyles i missed when i was relaxed so i will be a braid out-bantu knot-twist and curl QUEEN . some people may think what i did was dumb but i FINALLY feel good about this and listened to myself and not other people. enjoy the pics!!

It looks good and healthy!!! If you don't mind my asking where in Minneapolis? I would like to find a good salon for highlights and possibly blowouts when my hair is longer. I'm in St. Cloud and I have NO CLUE about minneapolis. There's nothing here since there aren't blacks here.

i was gonna go to beauty school in saint cloud but i saw the towns website and there were NO minorities in the video so i decided i wasnt welcome lol. st. clouds pretty far away from minneapolis but if you do decided to come into the city ill definitely shoot you a PM once i find one!

yes i am! i look weird with my hair straight, i started braiding my hair for a dry braidout and my mom ripped the braid out of my hair and said i payed too much money to wear it straight for only a few days

So long as you're happy, that's all that really matters. Does it still have texture? Would love to see wet pics. Can you wear a wash-n-go? Good luck with your transition and I hope the heat training goes well, I would think people would say they can do it but not really know how to do so safely.
