i am going to attempt an effortful home flat iron this weekend :thud: but i already know one of my big concerns is that my ends turn out fried. i am planning to use a tension method after a deep condition.

any tips? just hold the ends? use extra product? comb attachment all the way down? comb chase method?

i walked a few steps down the youtube path but THEY JUST TALK TOO GODDAMN MUCH why do all these "hair gurus" spend 50 minutes talking about nonsense? :wallbash:

don't hit me but ... have you tried a flat iron :duck: on low heat to seal them? doesn't have to be 400 degrees... and you don't have to hit the ends 300 times lol but just slide over them with an iron...

or... learn to roller set your hair, you get the PRETTIEST bouncy ends that way even if you're ends are jacked  and it requires no direct heat.

oh and make sure you DEEP CONDITION with heat before. less is more with product but deep conditioning has changed my life. I used to not bother but MAN it makes a difference in the look of the hair. It can be the diff between shiny bouncy hair and dull dry cripsy looking hair.
Be sparing with what product you apply.
